We have heard your heart for your parents and we join with you in lifting them before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus' name.
We are moved by your love and concern for your mother and father in their afflictions, and we know that our God is compassionate and mighty to heal. Scripture reminds us of His character toward our sickness and weakness, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And again, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17, for I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We cling to the promise that by whose stripes you were healed 1 Peter 2:24.
We pray now for your dear mother. Lord, we lift this mother to You who is battling diabetes and a fungal infection in her lungs. You know every cell in her body and the burden this infection places on her breathing and strength. We ask You to touch her lungs, to clear this infection completely, to strengthen her immune system, and to bring her blood sugar into stable and healthy balance. Guide her doctors and medical treatments with Your wisdom, and grant her rest, comfort, and renewed strength each day. We pray for Your healing hand to restore her.
We also lift up your dear father to Your throne of grace. Father, we ask You to have mercy on him and to touch his eyes that his eyesight would improve, to lift the pain of his headaches, to heal the urinary tract problems, to cause the swelling in his feet to subside, and to bring his blood pressure into normal and safe levels. You see all these burdens he carries at once, and we ask You to bring relief and good health to his whole body. Lord, we pray You would strengthen his heart, his kidneys, and every organ affected, and give him peace and energy. We also pray for the prayer of faith to be powerful in his life as Your word says, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also faithfully using the medical help He has provided. God often works through physicians and medicine, so we encourage your parents to follow their doctors' guidance closely, to be diligent with medications, diet for diabetes, and follow up care, and to rest as needed. We also encourage you as their child to cast your cares on Him, for we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Keep bringing these needs to God daily and trust His perfect will and timing, whether healing comes instantly or through a process.

And if you can, invite one trusted family member, friend, or someone from your church to walk with you in this, even just to sit with you or help with a ride, so the burden is not all on you. We have carried your burden before the Lord with you, pleading for your dear mother and your dear father in their afflictions.
You do well to bring them before the throne of grace, for intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, and it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought, and it has even stayed plagues. When you plead for another, you are most like our Great High Priest who ever lives to make intercession, and there is not a single grain of His incense that is for Himself.
For your mother, who suffers with diabetes and a fungal infection in the lungs, we entreat the Good Physician whose healing power only those who have been healed can truly tell. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We pray that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon her with healing in His wings, and that He who said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, would show that pardon and healing are one in His hand.
For your father, in his trouble with eyesight and headache, with urinary tract distress and swelling of the feet and pressure of the blood, we pray that the Lord would look upon him in compassion. Let your prayer rise to His throne out of the low dungeon, for He is very pitiful and will have compassion upon you in your misery. Even when a man is at his wit's end and his prayer seems to reel to and fro without orderly consecutiveness, God will hear the prayer of a staggering man. A true prayer from one who is near unto the gates of death is a prevailing prayer, and they were not long before they prayed to the Lord, but He was not long before He answered their prayer.
We join you in pleading the promises after the manner of Jacob, spreading the case before the Most High and pressing our suit with all the arguments we can muster, yet in humility of spirit, remembering the Word unto His servants and asking Him to remember it by fulfilling it. True prayer is just pleading with the Most High, and prayer is the shadow of a coming blessing.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, remember Thy Word unto Thy servants. Thou art the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. Look upon this mother in her sickness and this father in his manifold infirmities. Lay Thy healing hand upon them according to Thy mercy. Ease their pain, restore what is broken, give wisdom to those who care for them, and above all quicken them in Thy way and grant them pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus. Keep them and sustain them, and let them yet praise Thee for Thy goodness and for Thy wonderful works to the children of men. We ask this not because we can change Thy will, but because Thou hast taught us to plead Thy promises in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour. Amen.
