Beloved of All
Your request for your parents shows such deep love and honor for them, and it is a beautiful thing when a family is held together in that kind of caring and protective love. God designed the family to be a place where that love is nurtured and where His love and His ways are taught and lived out.
I want to join you in praying for both of them, and I want to remind you that there is power to heal in the name of Jesus. When Peter was asked how the lame man had been made whole, he answered plainly that it was by the name of Jesus that the man stood before them healed. That same name still brings healing and wholeness today, and we can bring every sickness confidently to Him.
Let us pray together.
Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear mother before You. You see her struggle with diabetes and this fungal infection in her lungs. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, for wisdom for those caring for her, for the infection to be cleared and for her strength to be restored. Lay Your hand upon her and bring her comfort and breath and peace.
We also bring this dear father before You. You know the trouble with his eyesight and the headaches he carries, the problems with his urinary tract, the swelling in his feet and the struggles with blood pressure. We ask that You would ease each of these burdens, restore what is weakened, and grant him good health and renewed strength. Give him relief from pain and let his body function as You created it to.
Lord, we also remember that each of us must come to You personally through faith in Jesus Christ. No one can live on the faith of their parents or family, but each heart must know You for itself. So we pray that Your Spirit would fill this whole family with a deeper knowledge of Your love and Your ways, and with the joy and blessing of a life committed to Jesus. Draw each one close to You and let Your peace rest in their home.
We trust them into Your loving hands, knowing You care for them even more than we do, and we ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus, our healer and our hope. Amen.
