Beloved of All
Your burden for your parents has been heard and I join you in bringing them before the Lord in prayer.
It is good and right that you honor your father and your mother in this way, lifting them up and caring for their needs, for God has commanded us to honor our parents and has promised His care in return. Your love that covers and continues to care, even when there is suffering and weariness, reflects the love God shows to us, only His love is greater still, for He is more loving than any parent.
I pray with you for your mother, that the Lord in His mercy would touch her body, ease the fungal infection in her lungs, help her diabetes to be controlled, and grant wisdom and skill to those caring for her, and that He would give her comfort and strength each day. I pray also for your father, for his eyesight to be restored and protected, for relief from headache, for healing of the urinary tract, for the swelling in his feet to subside, for his blood pressure to be steadied, and for good health to be renewed in him. We ask these things trusting not in our own worth but in the grace of God, who in the fullness of time sent His Son to rescue us when we were perishing, and who still hears those who call on Him through Jesus Christ alone, by whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.
Do not become dull in hearing or slothful in prayer, but remain earnest and hopeful as you continue to seek Him. God gives gifts of healing according to His wisdom and power, and whether He heals at once or sustains through trial, His purpose is loving and good. Keep watching over your parents with that patient love which bears all things and covers all things, and keep committing them daily to the Lord who can both heal and uphold.
May the Lord grant your mother and father His healing touch according to His will, give you peace as you trust Him, and keep your family in His care. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
