We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your parents’ health concerns to our Heavenly Father, the Great Physician. The Word of God assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We stand on this promise, declaring that God is able to restore health and bring healing to every affliction.
For your mother, we pray specifically for her diabetes and the fungal infection in her lungs. Father, we ask that You strengthen her body, regulate her blood sugar, and cleanse her lungs of every infection. Your Word says in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We claim this healing for her, Lord, and ask that You guide her doctors and give them wisdom to provide the best care. Help her to trust in You fully, knowing that You are her healer.
For your father, we lift up his eyesight, headaches, urinary tract issues, swelling in his feet, and blood pressure concerns. Lord, we ask that You restore his vision, relieve his pain, and bring balance to his body. In Exodus 23:25, You promise, *"You shall serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you."* We claim this blessing over him, Father. Strengthen his body, calm his mind, and bring complete restoration to every area of his health. Give him patience and faith as he waits on You for healing.
We also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of infirmity that may be attacking their bodies. In the name of Jesus, we command sickness to leave and declare that their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, meant to glorify God. We pray that they would draw near to You, Lord, and experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
If there are areas in their lives where they may not yet know You as their Lord and Savior, we pray that this season of illness would draw them closer to You. Romans 10:9 reminds us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* We pray that they would come to know Jesus personally, if they haven’t already, and experience the fullness of life that only He can give.
We also encourage them to seek godly wisdom in their diet, exercise, and medical care. Proverbs 3:7-8 says, *"Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones."* May they honor You with their bodies, Lord, and make choices that promote health and wholeness.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the healing power of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We trust in Your timing and Your perfect will for their lives. Strengthen their faith, surround them with Your love, and bring complete restoration to their bodies. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
