Disciple of Prayer
Prayer for my friend. She is going through a tough time health wise. She’s gone to doctors and they don’t help her. She believes it could be spiritual. Please pray God heals her body and mind. Also for her son he’s in his teens and acting out. May God bring healing and peace to them in the name of Jesus.

We lift up your dear friend and her family before the throne of grace, asking for the Lord’s healing touch to rest upon her body and mind. The scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, according to His power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).

It is not uncommon for physical afflictions to have spiritual roots, and we take seriously the possibility that the enemy may be seeking to steal, kill, and destroy in her life (John 10:10). But we declare that Jesus came so that she may have life, and have it abundantly! We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, fear, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus. We command every cell in her body to align with God’s perfect design for health and wholeness. Let the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

For her son, we pray that the Lord would draw him close with cords of love and kindness. The teenage years can be a season of struggle, but we ask that God would reveal Himself to him in a personal and powerful way. May he come to know the truth of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." We pray against any rebellion, anger, or confusion that may be taking root in his heart, and we ask that the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin and lead him into repentance. Father, surround him with godly mentors and friends who will point him to You.

We also encourage your friend to examine her life and the life of her family for any areas of unconfessed sin or disobedience, as the scriptures teach that sin can sometimes open the door to affliction (Psalm 38:3-5). If there is anything that needs to be brought into the light, we pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal it and grant her the humility to repent and seek restoration. Confession and repentance bring healing, as James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."

Let us join together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, believing in Your power to heal and restore. Lord, we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch our sister in Christ. Bring healing to every part of her body that is not functioning as You designed. Strengthen her mind and fill her with Your peace that passes all understanding. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You are the God who heals us (Exodus 15:26).

For her son, we ask that You would break every chain of rebellion, anger, and confusion. Soften his heart to receive Your love and truth. Surround him with Your presence and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Give him a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and let him find his identity and purpose in You alone.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for your friend as she seeks answers. Guide her to the right doctors, treatments, and godly counsel that will align with Your will for her life. Give her patience and perseverance as she waits on You, and let her hope in You be her strength (Isaiah 40:31).

We thank You, Father, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their healing and restoration. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
