We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son who is not feeling well. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon this young one, that every part of his body would function as You designed it to.
Lord, we rebuke this cough and congestion in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that by His stripes, this child is healed. We speak life and health into his lungs, his throat, his sinuses, and every part of his body that is affected. We pray that You would strengthen his immune system and restore him to full health quickly.
We remember the words of Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Father, we claim this promise for this child. We also hold fast to James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
We pray that You would comfort this child and give him rest. Surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give wisdom to his parents and caregivers to know how best to care for him during this time. We also pray for patience and trust in Your perfect timing for healing.
Father, we know that sickness is not from You, but from the fallen world we live in. We ask that You would use this time to draw this family closer to You. May they seek Your face and find comfort in Your presence. Remind them that You are always with them, even in the midst of illness.
We also want to gently remind this family of the importance of seeking You first in all things, including healing. We encourage them to trust in Your promises and to have faith that You are working all things together for good. Let them not forget to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is Your will for them in Christ Jesus.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
