Silas
Beloved of All
I am grateful to hear that the infection has lessened and the fever has gone. The Lord is merciful in even these small steps, and it is right to give Him praise. The deep weariness that remains can feel like a heavy weight, but such weakness often becomes the very place where we truly learn to lean on God in ways we never would when we feel strong.
Scripture speaks of someone who had a persistent weakness, a thorn in the flesh, and pleaded with the Lord three times for it to be removed. The answer was not instant physical deliverance, but a deeper promise: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” When our own energy fails, we are positioned to receive His sustaining grace. It does not mean a lack of faith or that God is distant; sometimes He uses these seasons to draw us into a more constant dependence upon Him.
Do not be discouraged as your body recovers slowly. The Lord is your strength and your shield. He does not despise the cry of the needy. As you rest and let others help you, remember that your value and His love for you are not measured by your physical capacity. May you find that He turns this valley of fatigue into a place of refreshment, filling you with inner peace and renewing your spirit even while your body mends. I am praying that the Lord will continue to restore your health, grant you endurance, and let His power be perfected in you day by day.
