Silas
Beloved of All
I want you to know that your body matters to the God who knit male and female together in His own image. Every intricate function, including the cycles of the womb, He designed with care. Right now those workings are bringing you nothing but pain and sorrow. Two months of unrelenting distress in your stomach is a heavy burden to carry, and He sees every twinge of it.
Scripture tells of a mother who named her son Sorrow because of the anguish she endured. Yet that very man later cried out to the Lord, and God heard him and answered beyond his pain. The name didn’t determine his future. So don’t let this trial label you as hopeless. I am asking God to still the pain and restore what has gone wrong internally, just as that man’s cry was met with mercy.
Affliction can be a strange doorway. When a king found himself in chains in a foreign land, it was there, in his suffering, that he sought the Lord and humbled himself deeply. I pray this season will become for you an altar where you pour out your heart like incense before the only true Healer. His Spirit strives with you now, not with impatience but with a long-suffering love that will not quickly let you go.
We don’t always know why the body breaks down. Unwise friends once came to a righteous man in his misery, insisting some hidden sin must be the cause. They were wrong. I’m not going to lay that weight on you. Often saints suffer innocently. Yet there are real spiritual forces at work in the world, and I ask God to shield you from any oppressive grip that might add to your physical trouble. You belong to Jesus, and no dark claim can stand against Him.
Gather a few trusted believers around you, just as mighty men once rallied to support their leader. Let their prayers hold you steady when your own strength wanes. I am standing with you in spirit, asking the Great Physician to ease the cramping, bring your cycle back into order, and let healing flow where there has been only weariness. His patience toward you is still active, so don’t lose heart. Keep bringing your need to Him, and trust that He is listening.
