Your prayer with a repentant heart is precious to the Lord, and we join you in thanking Him for all things. The Scripture shows us that God is gracious, merciful, patient and long suffering, and He receives all who turn to Him through Jesus Christ alone. True repentance is more than words, it is a change of heart and direction, a turning from the old life to a new life in Christ, and it shows itself in fruit that demonstrates the change is real. We rejoice with you in that turning and pray that the Lord will strengthen you to walk in it day by day.
We also pray with you for complete healing, for your physical and mental health, and for every test and doctor visit ahead. The Bible gives a beautiful wish that you may prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers, and it also says a joyful heart does good like medicine. There is a real connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body. Worry, fear and bitterness can harm the body, while peace, joy and hope in the Lord bring strength. We pray that as your soul is nourished by His Word, by faith and by love, your body and mind will also be strengthened, and that God will give you His peace that steadies the heart even in times of anxiety.
We believe very strongly in healing and that Jesus is our healer. The prophet Isaiah said He bore our infirmities and sicknesses, and Matthew shows that Jesus fulfilled this when He healed the leper, the centurion's servant, Peter's mother in law and multitudes who were brought to Him in the evening. He went about doing good and healing all kinds of sickness, and He has power over the physical, the material and the spiritual realm. At the same time Scripture teaches us not to presume that God wills immediate healing in every case in the way we expect. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord answered with grace and strength for that season. Healing can come instantly, and it can also come gradually through the healing processes God Himself has built into our bodies. Any true healing is divine, whether it comes in a moment or through the natural course that the Great Physician created. We trust His wisdom and love to do what is best, and we ask Him to be to you whatever you need, your healer, your provider, your righteousness and your peace.
We join you in praying for Miss ### who has brought you so much joy, and for your family and friends and all who are in need, that God would keep them healthy, safe and surrounded by His love. We pray for those who need cures, for love and peace on the earth, and that many would come to believe and have living faith in God through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. The things of this physical world so often bring strife, fear and uncertainty, but the realm of the Spirit is marked by love, joy and peace. May the Lord make you deeply aware of His presence with you, though unseen with physical eyes, and let the healing work of His Spirit keep you on the straight path.
Let us pray together. Father, we thank You for Your mercy that receives a repentant heart through Jesus. We ask You to forgive, cleanse and renew our brother and sister who has prayed here, and to help them bear fruit that shows a true walk with You. Lay Your healing hand upon body and mind, guide every doctor and every test, and let health continue to improve according to Your will. Comfort and bless Miss ###, family and friends, and all who are suffering. Pour out Your love and peace upon this world and draw many to saving faith in Christ. Fill this dear one with Your Holy Spirit, with a merry heart and a prospering soul, and grant quiet confidence in Your goodness. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
