We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage and the health of those involved. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician and the Restorer of all things. We acknowledge that it is only through the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that we have access to You and the power to overcome every spiritual attack. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His mighty name that we pray.
Lord, we rebuke every spiritual attack that has been hindering this marriage and the health of this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over this marriage, asking for a hedge of protection to surround them day and night. Father, we ask that You would break every chain of sickness, disease, and infirmity that has taken hold in their bodies. By the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we declare that healing and restoration are theirs in Jesus' name.
We also lift up this marriage before You, Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s relationship with His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that You would restore love, trust, and unity where there has been division or strife. Help this couple to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, to love one another as Christ loved the church, and to honor the vows they made before You. If there has been any unfaithfulness, whether in thought, word, or deed, we ask for Your forgiveness and for the strength to walk in purity and holiness. Fornication and adultery are sins that grieve Your heart, and we pray that any such behavior would be repented of and turned away from (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
Father, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You and to one another. Let their home be a place of peace, joy, and spiritual growth. We pray that they would be set free from any generational curses, past hurts, or unforgiveness that may be hindering their walk with You. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and that no scheme of the enemy will prevail against them.
Lord, we also pray for their spiritual growth and their contribution to the body of Christ. Equip them with the full armor of God so that they may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Let them be lights in this dark world, shining the love and truth of Jesus wherever they go. We ask that You would use them mightily for Your kingdom, that they would bear much fruit for Your glory.
We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11). May Your will be done in this marriage and in this family, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.
