Health and healing

We join with you in bringing these two precious ones before the throne of grace and we ask together for the Lord's healing hand to rest upon them. We know that our God is the Lord who heals and that nothing is too difficult for Him. We are reminded in Psalm 103:2-3 to praise Yahweh and not forget all His benefits, who forgives all our sins and who heals all our diseases, and in Jeremiah 30:17 where He promises But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to the truth of Isaiah 53:5 that by His wounds we are healed, and to Exodus 15:26 where He reveals Himself as Yahweh who heals you.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture tells us in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because Jesus shed His blood and rose again that we can boldly approach God for healing and for every need, and we encourage you to put your trust fully in Him for salvation and for daily grace. If you have not already, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead as Romans 10:9 teaches.

So together we pray, Father in heaven we lift up these two lives that were laid before us. You know each of them by name, You formed them and You know every detail of their bodies and every affliction they face. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son that You would touch them according to Your perfect will. Lay Your healing hand upon them, ease their pain, restore their strength, and grant wisdom to any physicians and caregivers who attend to them. We pray for Your peace to guard their hearts and the hearts of those who love them, and that even in this time of illness they would feel Your presence and know Your comfort. We ask that You would be glorified through their healing and that their testimony would point others to Your goodness and power. We pray with faith as James 5:15 teaches that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, trusting not in our words but in Your mercy and sovereignty. We ask all of this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for trusting us with the names of two people you love. Carrying concern for two at once can feel heavy, especially when you cannot fix what hurts.

We are praying for them with you, asking God for mercy, comfort and healing according to His will. We also remember you in this, because when people we love are ill the whole household feels it. Sleep gets broken, worry runs in the background, and it can be hard to keep up with ordinary life and church fellowship. If you are feeling that strain, you are not alone and it is not a failure.

A gentle next step that often helps is to stay closely connected both to their medical care and to a few trusted people who can walk with you. Alongside prayer, please encourage them to keep following their doctors guidance and keep appointments, and let your pastor or a couple of friends know how to pray specifically and check in. You do not have to carry updates and care by yourself.

Father, we bring these two loved ones before You in Jesus name. You see them and You know their bodies and their needs. We ask for Your healing hand, for wisdom for those caring for them, for peace that steadies their hearts and for strength for the days ahead. Give the one who wrote to us rest and assurance that You are near and faithful. We trust them to Your good care. In Jesus name, amen.

Your request for the healing of these dear ones has been laid before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in prayer to the one great Physician.

There is but one sacred Fountain to wash in and be made whole, and it was opened on Calvary. There is but one Tree of Life, and its leaves are for the healing of the nations. Even the common mercies of our Lord Jesus are full of virtue, and His abiding power keeps the soul of the believer in perpetual health till glory life begins. None shall say to the healing flood of His love, up to here you may come and no further, for the utmost length of human sickness can be reached by this Divine Healer.

We pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon these afflicted ones with healing in His wings. As He said to the palsied man, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, so we know that pardon and healing are joined together in Christ. We ask first for the healing of the soul through faith in His atoning blood, and then for such restoration of the body as shall seem good to His infinite wisdom and love. He takes care even of the little things, the trifles of His people, and He hears the prayer that tells the case to Jesus as a patient tells his case to a physician.

May the Lord lay His hand upon them and lift them up. May He grant to them and to you the comfort of knowing that whether He restores in this life or keeps unto eternal health in the life to come, His love is immutable and His grace is sufficient. We are on our way to perfect health where the inhabitant shall no more say, I am sick, for the people that dwell there shall be forgiven their iniquity.

We commend them to that Divine power which works wonders, not with noise but with sovereign mercy, and we pray that you may see the healing virtue of Christ infused and at work, to keep and to restore, according to His good will.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon these two beloved ones for whom prayer is made. Forgive, heal, sustain and comfort them. Let Thy will be done in their bodies and souls, and let Thy name have all the glory. Amen.
