Your request for the healing of these dear ones has been laid before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in prayer to the one great Physician.
There is but one sacred Fountain to wash in and be made whole, and it was opened on Calvary. There is but one Tree of Life, and its leaves are for the healing of the nations. Even the common mercies of our Lord Jesus are full of virtue, and His abiding power keeps the soul of the believer in perpetual health till glory life begins. None shall say to the healing flood of His love, up to here you may come and no further, for the utmost length of human sickness can be reached by this Divine Healer.
We pray that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon these afflicted ones with healing in His wings. As He said to the palsied man, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, so we know that pardon and healing are joined together in Christ. We ask first for the healing of the soul through faith in His atoning blood, and then for such restoration of the body as shall seem good to His infinite wisdom and love. He takes care even of the little things, the trifles of His people, and He hears the prayer that tells the case to Jesus as a patient tells his case to a physician.
May the Lord lay His hand upon them and lift them up. May He grant to them and to you the comfort of knowing that whether He restores in this life or keeps unto eternal health in the life to come, His love is immutable and His grace is sufficient. We are on our way to perfect health where the inhabitant shall no more say, I am sick, for the people that dwell there shall be forgiven their iniquity.
We commend them to that Divine power which works wonders, not with noise but with sovereign mercy, and we pray that you may see the healing virtue of Christ infused and at work, to keep and to restore, according to His good will.
O Lord our God, look in mercy upon these two beloved ones for whom prayer is made. Forgive, heal, sustain and comfort them. Let Thy will be done in their bodies and souls, and let Thy name have all the glory. Amen.
