Father, we humble ourselves as we thank and praise You for Your workings, Ps 100:1-4, and yet ask for still more grace, James 4:6, to share The Word with these figures as they've been enabled to hear, Mk 4:33, for grace to honor our parents, Eph 6:1-3, the command with promises, it will go well with us and we'll live long in the land. Powerfully provide everything they need for life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3, emotional & bodily health and prosperity, even as their souls prosper, 3 Jn 1:2. We ask they (and we) GROW in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2 Pet 3:18. Help them be established in the elementary principles of the Word of God, Heb 5:12, the foundational doctrines of the faith, Heb 6:1-3, and grow up into maturity, Eph 4:15, Col 1:10, culminating in love for You, others and fullness of the Holy Spirit's fruit, Phil 1:9-11; Gal 5:22-23.

We therefore ask for Blessing, Honor, GRACE, Immediate HEALING, Ex 15:26, for our Patriarchal and Matriarchal Figures (and ourselves, kindly, Matt 7:7)... Kindly ask Healing at Present: Deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13: (hurt, harm, injury, sickness, sin and satan). In Jesus' Name we collectively rebuke sickness over matriarchal, Luke 4:39, and restrain evil people and the evil one from each, 2 Thes 3:2-3. Grant peace to be within their walls, Ps 122:7, even as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps 122:6, take us not out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, as You sanctify us in the truth of Your Word, John 17:17, wash us with the Water of The Word, Eph 5:26.

Open the eyes of our understanding with The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, Eph 1:17-18, strengthen us by rooting and grounding us in love, that Christ dwells in our hearts by faith, Eph 3:16-19, and open our minds to not only understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45, but to crave the sincere milk of the Word, 1 Peter 2:2, that we may grow thereby. Help us all to move from milk to solid food, 1 Cor 3:2. And help let the Word of Christ richly dwell within us, Col 3:6, spread rapidly and be glorified, 2 Thes 3:1 and become flesh, John 1:14. Help us receive FRESH TRUTHS day after day and night after night, Ps 19:1-2, Prov 2:6, and retain the Word, Ps 119:11, being effectual doers, not merely hearers, James 1:21-22. May this result in abiding communion with YOU, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, 1 John 1:1-3, bear fruit of true discipleship by continuing in Your Word, John 8:31-32, making disciples, Matt 28:19-20, as Paul aspired to bear fruit among those beyond his sphere, Rom 1:13. Let us all taste the goodness of answered prayer by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7-8 and make our joy complete, John 15:24. Ultimately let them and us be transformed by the renewing of our minds that we may prove what the will of God is, Rom 12:2, being renewed in the spirit of our minds, Eph 4:23, having the mind of Christ, 1 Cor 2:16, and our minds prepared for battle, 1 Peter 1:13. We lift our hearts together in unity, giving thanks to the Lord for His faithfulness and grace. Your prayer is a beautiful expression of love and honor for the patriarchal and matriarchal figures in our lives, and we join with you in seeking God’s abundant blessings over them, and over all of us, as we walk in His will.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We thank You for the wisdom, guidance, and love that our fathers and mothers, both in the natural and spiritual sense, have poured into our lives. Your Word commands us to honor our parents, that it may go well with us and that we may live long in the land You have given us (Ephesians 6:2-3). We ask that You would strengthen these dear ones, granting them health, vitality, and prosperity in every area of their lives, even as their souls prosper (3 John 1:2).

Lord, we boldly rebuke sickness, disease, and every form of affliction that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy in their lives (John 10:10). Just as You rebuked the fever in Peter’s mother-in-law and she was healed (Luke 4:39), we declare healing and restoration over them now. We stand against the schemes of the enemy, praying that You would restrain every evil influence and grant them peace within their homes (Psalm 122:7). Sanctify them in Your truth, for Your Word is truth (John 17:17), and wash them with the water of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26).

Father, we ask that You would open the eyes of their understanding, filling them with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You (Ephesians 1:17-18). Root and ground them in love, that Christ may dwell in their hearts by faith (Ephesians 3:16-19). May they grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), moving from milk to solid food in Your Word (1 Corinthians 3:2). Let the Word of Christ dwell in them richly (Colossians 3:16), transforming their minds so they may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

We pray for renewed minds and spirits, that they, and all of us, would have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16) and be prepared for spiritual battle (1 Peter 1:13). May they crave the sincere milk of the Word (1 Peter 2:2) and grow into maturity, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let them abide in You, Lord Jesus, so that their prayers may be answered and their joy made complete (John 15:7-11).

Father, we also lift up those who may be struggling to honor their parents due to past hurts or broken relationships. Heal those wounds, Lord, and soften hearts to extend forgiveness and grace, just as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Where there is division, bring reconciliation. Where there is bitterness, bring Your peace. Help us all to walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us (Ephesians 5:2).

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). May they experience Your goodness and faithfulness in every area of life, spiritually, emotionally, and temporally.

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. May Your will be done in their lives and in ours, as we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Strengthen us to walk in obedience, to honor those You have placed over us, and to live lives that bring glory to Your name. May we all grow together in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, bearing much fruit for Your kingdom.

Reading your prayer, we can feel the weight and breadth of your heart, a deep longing for the health, honor, and spiritual vitality of the older men and women you love, and for your own growth alongside them. Rather than try to cover every beautiful request all at once, we want to sit with you in the part that seems most personal: the real-time ache for healing and protection over those matriarchal and patriarchal figures who are under pressure right now. That’s a burden we understand, and we’re praying with you.

Spiritual growth often feels slow and imperceptible, but your words show it’s already happening. The way these prayers rise from you is itself evidence of a mind being renewed and a heart anchored in the Word. That doesn’t mean the waiting for a tangible breakthrough is easy, but it does mean the Spirit is quietly at work as you keep bringing these needs before God. So we’d encourage you to stay with the simple, daily routines you’re already describing, time in Scripture, prayer, worship, while letting the timeline rest with him.

Meanwhile, it can help to put a small, concrete action next to that spiritual ground. If you’re close enough to these elders, consider reaching beyond the spoken prayer into a practical touchpoint this week: a phone call to listen, a handwritten note of appreciation, or a specific offer of help that meets a current need. Such kindnesses often carry healing of their own, reminding them they’re not alone.

Father, thank you for this brother or sister’s love for their elders and their own hunger to grow in you. We ask for your healing hand where sickness presses in, and your shield where harm lurks. Grant wisdom to doctors and a clear path forward. In the quietness of this moment, cover these patriarchs and matriarchs with your peace, and let them know your nearness. Strengthen this prayer partner and all of us to honor, support, and love well, even while we wait. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

The prayer that has been offered is a sweet savor, for it is built not upon the vain conceits of man, but upon the sure promises of the Covenant. When you bring these texts before the Lord, you honor Him indeed. There is no more direct way to the heart of God than to plead His own Word back to Him. You are asking for that which He has already pledged to give, and your request is rooted in the first command with promise: to honor father and mother. This is a plain duty, and in its doing, a generous reward is secured, for He has said, "Those who honor Me I will honor." I believe that where families thus seek the honor of God by esteeming their patriarchal and matriarchal figures, God will honor their families very wonderfully.

Regarding the request for health and healing, comfort your hearts with this truth: the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. You have asked for immediate healing, and rightly so. When the Lord comes to dwell with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises upon them with healing in His wings. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. Yet, know this as well: bodily health, though earnestly desired, is but the leaf; the fruit is the prosperity of the soul. When we pray for temporal mercies, let it be with this desire, that we may serve Him without hindrance. And should the healing tarry, do not doubt your deliverance from the pit, for God has said it: "I have found a ransom." That ransom is Christ, in whom we are delivered from far worse enemies than sickness.

The plea for deliverance from evil and the restraint of wicked men is an arrow that has often been shot against the saints. You cry out from your own brook Jabbok, fearing the Esaus of this world. But it is a small thing for the Lord to turn the heart of the enemy. He who delivered Jacob will also cross the brook with you, so that you may find the one you feared falling upon your neck. You do not ask to be taken out of the world, but to be kept from the evil one. This is wisdom. For it is by remaining in the battlefield that our strength is renewed like the eagle’s. The eagle’s youth is renewed by the food it eats, by looking upon the true Sun, and by breathing the atmosphere of the skies. So it is with us. The renewing of your minds, the craving for the sincere milk of the Word, the receiving of fresh truths, this is the very breath of Heaven that makes the spirit young again. This gracious renewal of a brotherly covenant is never a sorrowful hour; it brings a holy freshness, a vigor for the fight.

You speak of fruitfulness, of moving from milk to solid food, of the Word becoming effectual. Mark this well: deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. Where you look for justification, there you must also look for sanctification. The darkness that would depress the mind and afflict the spirit must be dispelled by His mighty hand. You can do nothing, and you know it. This is a healthy sign. For if you ever rise from despondency, you will never dare to take an atom of the honor of that deliverance to yourself. It must be of Free Grace, only. He brought them forth, and not one of His little ones shall perish, for too much is involved, His Word, His covenant, His honor, for any to be lost. Therefore, let the Word of Christ richly dwell within you, and may the Lord brace your nerves and string your sinews, making you true crusaders who count suffering to be joy and reproach to be honor, until your joy is complete in Him.

Your prayer reveals a soul eager to honor father and mother, and this is well-pleasing to God. For the command to honor parents is indeed the first with a promise, that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth. Yet let this honor not be merely with the lips, nor an outward show while the heart is far from them. Some, under a pretense of piety, used to tell parents, “What you would have received from me is a gift to God,” and so they defrauded them under a holy name. But true honor flows from a renewed mind, which you have rightly desired. Let the mind of Christ be in you, that you may not merely hear the command but do it, bearing fruit in every good work.

Remember that He, in His final earthly anguish, saw His own mother and provided for her, teaching us to pay more than common respect. Even so, our obedience is “in the Lord”; if ever a parent commands what God forbids, we must prefer God. But in all else, let their needs meet with your ready help, in body, soul, and spirit, for they are, after God, the authors of your life. In this, the Father of mercies will make you a partaker of His grace, and He who grants this promise will cause His Word to dwell richly in you, so that you may grow into full maturity in love, and prove that you are indeed a disciple of Christ.
