Father, we humble ourselves as we thank and praise You for Your workings, Ps 100:1-4, and yet ask for still more grace, James 4:6, to share The Word with these figures as they've been enabled to hear, Mk 4:33, for grace to honor our parents, Eph 6:1-3, the command with promises, it will go well with us and we'll live long in the land. Powerfully provide everything they need for life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3, emotional & bodily health and prosperity, even as their souls prosper, 3 Jn 1:2. We ask they (and we) GROW in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2 Pet 3:18. Help them be established in the elementary principles of the Word of God, Heb 5:12, the foundational doctrines of the faith, Heb 6:1-3, and grow up into maturity, Eph 4:15, Col 1:10, culminating in love for You, others and fullness of the Holy Spirit's fruit, Phil 1:9-11; Gal 5:22-23.

We therefore ask for Blessing, Honor, GRACE, Immediate HEALING, Ex 15:26, for our Patriarchal and Matriarchal Figures (and ourselves, kindly, Matt 7:7)... Kindly ask Healing at Present: Deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13: (hurt, harm, injury, sickness, sin and satan). In Jesus' Name we collectively rebuke sickness over matriarchal, Luke 4:39, and restrain evil people and the evil one from each, 2 Thes 3:2-3. Grant peace to be within their walls, Ps 122:7, even as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps 122:6, take us not out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, as You sanctify us in the truth of Your Word, John 17:17, wash us with the Water of The Word, Eph 5:26.

Open the eyes of our understanding with The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, Eph 1:17-18, strengthen us by rooting and grounding us in love, that Christ dwells in our hearts by faith, Eph 3:16-19, and open our minds to not only understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45, but to crave the sincere milk of the Word, 1 Peter 2:2, that we may grow thereby. Help us all to move from milk to solid food, 1 Cor 3:2. And help let the Word of Christ richly dwell within us, Col 3:6, spread rapidly and be glorified, 2 Thes 3:1 and become flesh, John 1:14. Help us receive FRESH TRUTHS day after day and night after night, Ps 19:1-2, Prov 2:6, and retain the Word, Ps 119:11, being effectual doers, not merely hearers, James 1:21-22. May this result in abiding communion with YOU, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, 1 John 1:1-3, bear fruit of true discipleship by continuing in Your Word, John 8:31-32, making disciples, Matt 28:19-20, as Paul aspired to bear fruit among those beyond his sphere, Rom 1:13. Let us all taste the goodness of answered prayer by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7-8 and make our joy complete, John 15:24. Ultimately let them and us be transformed by the renewing of our minds that we may prove what the will of God is, Rom 12:2, being renewed in the spirit of our minds, Eph 4:23, having the mind of Christ, 1 Cor 2:16, and our minds prepared for battle, 1 Peter 1:13. We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude and intercession, lifting up our patriarchal and matriarchal figures, those whom God has placed in our lives to guide, nurture, and lead us in the ways of righteousness. Your Word declares, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). We stand on this promise, believing that You desire wholeness, spirit, soul, and body, for those who walk in Your ways.

Father, we thank You for the gift of family, for the wisdom and love these figures have poured into our lives. Your command is clear: "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise: "that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth" (Ephesians 6:2-3). We ask that You grant us the grace to honor them not only in word but in deed, to listen with humility, and to serve with love. Where there has been brokenness or strife, heal those wounds by the power of Your Spirit. Where respect has waned, restore it. Where bitterness has taken root, uproot it and replace it with the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Lord, we rebuke every spirit of infirmity, sickness, or disease that seeks to afflict our fathers and mothers in the faith. Just as Jesus rebuked the fever in Peter’s mother-in-law (Luke 4:39), we speak healing over their bodies. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen their bones, sharpen their minds, and renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). For those battling chronic illness or pain, we ask for Your immediate touch, let them rise up and walk in divine health, for You are the God who "forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases" (Psalm 103:3).

We also pray for emotional and temporal provision. You have promised that those who seek You will lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10). Open doors of opportunity, provide for every need, and grant them wisdom to steward their resources for Your glory. Where anxiety or fear has crept in, remind them that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask that You deepen their knowledge of You. Your Word says, "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). Illuminate their minds with fresh revelation of Your truth. May they hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6), moving from milk to solid food as they mature in the faith (1 Corinthians 3:2). Let the Word of Christ dwell in them richly (Colossians 3:16), transforming their thoughts, renewing their minds, and aligning their wills with Yours (Romans 12:2). May they walk in the fullness of the Spirit, bearing fruit that remains (John 15:16) and making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).

We also lift up their spiritual protection. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name to bind every scheme of the evil one. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will keep them from the evil one (John 17:15). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace reign in their homes (Psalm 122:7).

For those who may not yet know You, we pray that their hearts would be softened to receive the gospel. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If they have not confessed Jesus as Lord, we ask that You draw them with cords of lovingkindness (Jeremiah 31:3) and open their eyes to see the truth of Your Word. Salvation is found in no one else, for You alone are the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use these patriarchs and matriarchs as vessels of honor in Your kingdom. Let their lives reflect Your glory, their words carry Your anointing, and their legacy be one of faithfulness to the next generation. May they finish the race strong, keeping the faith (2 Timothy 4:7), and hear You say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Thank you for letting us see your heart poured out for your family elders in this way. It’s clear how much you crave God’s healing, protection, and fresh spiritual life for them, and honestly, reading your words, we find ourselves stirred to join you in those same longings.

As we hold these patriarchs and matriarchs up to the Lord, we’re reminded that honoring them is not only a posture of prayer, but also something we can put hands and feet to. Sometimes the simplest, most ordinary acts of kindness carry the weight of the honor we want to show: a meal, running an errand, sitting quietly with them so they aren’t alone, helping with a household chore they can no longer manage. Such tangible care doesn’t replace prayer; it flows from it, and often becomes a quiet answer to our own pleas for their well-being. So we’d gently nudge you to look for one small, doable way this week to lighten their load or remind them they are cherished. And if the illness you mention involves any physical symptoms, we also encourage leaning on the wisdom of a doctor alongside your prayers, God’s common grace often comes wrapped in a stethoscope.

Father, we thank you for the deep, tender love behind this request. We lift up these mothers and fathers of the faith, trusting them into your hands. Grant them the healing that only you can give, and shield them from every harm. When they are weary, be their rest; when their bodies ache, be their strength. We ask not only for their protection, but for their minds to be quietly renewed, day by day, as they taste your Word and your presence. Calm whatever fears this season may bring, and let your peace settle deep within their walls. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

How gladly we unite in such a request, for the promise is that the soul’s prosperity stands first. When the inner life flourishes, every other blessing seeks to follow in its train. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing; even the least things about our Lord carry restoring virtue. Sickness may bark, but it is a chained enemy. The Great Physician has but to speak, and the fever flees. We call down from the heavenly hills the grace that renews the mind, for a mind untransformed remains in the dark fog of self, unable to prove that good and perfect will. Our minds must be prepared for battle, girded with the truth that gives solid footing when the enemy’s arrows fly.

Honoring those who went before carries a promise woven into the very fabric of godliness, a mother’s affection and a father’s wise counsel become the best of arguments for a life kept from the spots of the world. The command is not a burden but a peg driven securely into the ground of a long and well-spent life. Cry for them and for yourselves the grace that washes with the water of the Word, bringing the sincere milk that builds sturdy souls no longer tottering like infants. The Word must take on flesh in you, dwelling within so richly that disciples are made, not merely theoretical admirers of doctrine.

The pit yawns for every soul, but the ransom is found. God has given commandment to deliver from the power of darkness, and that deliverance is as much a divine work as the pardon of guilt itself. The Lord who chastens sits as a Refiner at the door, and even the sharpest smart becomes profitable when seen within the fence of His overruling. No evil springs up apart from His permission. The Evil One aims his most poisonous dart at the believer by twisting that very truth, making sons and daughters doubt their own Father’s hand. Turn that temptation away at once. Declare with the Psalmist, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”

Abiding communion, this is the secret tree whose every leaf drops healing. There is no cure for the nations but the one plant of renown. To taste answered prayer, His Word must find a home within, rooting and grounding you in that love which surpasses knowledge. Then follows the fruit that alone proves true discipleship. To see those we honor and love walk in the truth, this is a joy that needs no greater addition. We would rather see them poor, cast out, and reviled with the mind of Christ, than wealthy, esteemed, and destitute of a renewed nature. May it be that not one soul bound to you by blood or affection shall go down to the pit while such prayers ascend. The arm that brought Israel from Egypt with silver and gold brings His children out now, none being feeble, all leaning on their Beloved.

You ask for many good things: health of body, renewal of mind, deliverance from evil, and fruitfulness in the knowledge of God. These are all right to seek, and Scripture promises that he who asks receives. But see that you understand what it truly means to be healed and renewed, lest you mistake outward ease for the soul’s prosperity. For the Lord does not always remove the trial but grants a greater gift, to despise it. He permitted the saints to die, yet they were more than conquerors, for deliverance from death is nothing compared to the power to scorn death itself.

When you pray for renewed minds and the spirit of wisdom, do not imagine this renewal as a sudden flash or a change of substance. To be renewed is for the selfsame mind to be transformed in its disposition, putting off old deeds and putting on the mind of Christ. This happens not by one act, but by daily choice. The brutes are fruitful or unfruitful by nature, but we by free decision; therefore we are crowned or punished according to our will. So if you ask for fruitfulness, be resolved to cultivate every part of virtue, not one alone. It is not enough to flee from riches if you remain soft; nor to be courageous if you neglect the hearing of the word. A careful ear, a continual remembrance, fortitude, and contempt of all worldly things must be woven together.

You pray for healing and for deliverance from evil people and the evil one. The apostle teaches that the ruler is God’s minister, bearing the sword to execute wrath on the wrongdoer. In God’s ordering, even these outward terrors can prepare the soul for the word, by instilling a fear that leads to virtue. Yet the truest and most terrible weapon against Satan is a mind steeped in the laws of God. When you hear the spiritual teaching and write it on the tablet of your heart, the devil will turn his back from afar. For nothing is so fearful to him and to the thoughts he suggests as a soul that hangs over this fountain continually.

You long to understand the Scriptures and to receive fresh truths. But if the hearer is dull, the doctrine becomes hard to explain. The fault is not in the word, but in the ear that does not go along with it. Therefore, before you pray for open eyes, examine whether you are indeed a hearer who retains and does. Crave the sincere milk, not as a passive vessel, but by setting your will to practice. For the prophets the word was clear because they had the root of his blessings, their principle of choice, well settled. So too with you: let the law of God be stamped on your mind by the Holy Spirit through habitual meditation, and you will prove what is the will of God.

Do not think that honoring parents or patriarchal figures means merely outward deference. The commandment comes with a promise of well-being and long life, but the honor God requires is that you present to them the beauty of a transformed life, and when you receive an evil report, do not return it. The evil speaker disgraces himself first. So if you truly honor them, be a pattern of meekness, for that will give them more cause to love the truth than many arguments.

Finally, do not be amazed when God does not at once remove every hurt or sickness. He may permit these to remain so that you may learn to despise them and to cling to the inward health of the soul. The body may suffer, but the mind that is renewed day by day in the spirit of it will enjoy a great calm amidst the storm. Abide in his words, and let them abide in you. Then your joy will be complete, not because every external enemy is vanquished, but because Christ dwells in your heart by faith and you are rooted and grounded in love. This is the true deliverance, and this is the road to fruitfulness that remains.

Your prayer rises with such genuine longing for the wholeness of your parents and yourself. I am grateful for the heart behind it. The command to honor father and mother carries a profound promise, and it is right to ask for the grace to do so. Yet many understand the deep truth that the sins of parents can leave marks on the children. Emotional scars, blocked memories, a mind that struggles to function as God intended, these are not beyond His reach. The way out begins when we bring those wounds to the One who heals.

You have asked for healing, and you have asked boldly. I join you in that. Scripture shows that by the suffering of Christ our infirmities and sicknesses were carried. He healed in so many ways, sometimes with a word, other times with a touch, sometimes instantly, and at other times gradually through the body’s own God-designed processes. Jesus was not confined to one pattern. As you pray for your parents and yourself, rest in the certainty that healing is always divine, whether it bursts forth in a moment or unfolds slowly. The wounds of the mind and emotions are just as real; a mind renewed, a memory unblocked, a heart freed from bitterness, these are also healings of the highest order.

You cried out for renewed minds, for moving from milk to solid food, for the Word to become flesh in you. This is exactly where lasting change takes hold. When young minds are filled with the clamor of a fallen world, or when family brokenness produces confusion, the truth of Scripture reorders everything. Crave that sincere milk. Let it grow into a steady diet of solid meat. As the Word of Christ dwells in you richly, it will push out the lies, untangle the mental knots, and transform you by the renewing of your mind. This is the path to proving what the will of God truly is.

Honoring parents does not mean pretending their failures did no harm. It means respecting the position God gave them, even while you refuse to follow them into anything ungodly. Your prayer for their spiritual, emotional, and temporal support is a beautiful act of honor. It may be that as you stand in the gap, their own eyes open to the truth. The promise attached to the command, that it may go well with you, holds firm even when the family story is complicated.

Fruitfulness comes not from striving but from abiding. As you abide in Christ and His words abide in you, the cares of this world lose their power to choke. The deceitfulness of riches, the weight of past disappointments, the lies that once shaped you, all are overcome by the life of Jesus flowing through you. The fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, and all the rest, will grow in season.

I stand with you in these requests. May the Lord restore health to your parents and to you, in body and in soul. May your minds be increasingly filled with light, your hearts anchored in love, and your lives bearing fruit that remains. In truth, the path from woundedness to wholeness is walked in the company of the Great Physician, and He does all things well.
