Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your request. We have heard that you have had a slight stroke and we are praying with you for complete healing and recovery.

We bring you before the Lord who is the true physician of both body and soul. We ask Him to lay His healing hand upon you, to restore your strength, to renew your health, and to give wisdom and skill to every doctor and caregiver who is treating you. We pray that He will grant you patience in this process of recovery, peace that guards your heart, and comfort for you and those who love you.

Scripture reminds us that God is able to restore and to renew, and that He is present with us in weakness and in waiting. Even when healing comes gradually, like medicine applied over time that slowly brings back health, we can trust that He is at work for good. As you continue to follow your medical care and rest as needed, we pray you will be able to give thanks in all things and to find hope in Christ day by day.

We pray now: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for Your mercy and healing for this dear one. Touch the body where the stroke has caused injury, bring complete recovery, protect from further harm, and restore what has been weakened. Grant fullness of strength, clarity of mind, and peace in You. Let Your will be done and let Your goodness be seen in this life. Amen.

We will continue to keep you in prayer. Please keep us updated on how you are doing and let us know how we can continue to pray for you.

Thank you for sharing this request and allowing us to pray for you after your stroke. We are praying for your complete healing and recovery, and we bring your need before Jesus who is our healer.

There is much about healing that we do not fully understand. Scripture shows us that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a touch, sometimes with only a word from a distance, sometimes by going to the person, and in one case the healing came gradually. He was not confined to a single pattern. That reminds us that God is sovereign in how He works, and we can trust His wisdom and love even when we do not understand why some are restored quickly and others walk a longer road.

We do believe strongly that all true healing is from God. He has built healing processes into our bodies, and those natural processes are themselves divine because He is the one who created nature and its laws. Whether healing comes in a moment or comes step by step over weeks and months, it is still His work. He also brings healing to the mind and the emotions, calming fear, lifting discouragement, and healing the inner wounds that come with a sudden health crisis.

The Scripture points us to this hope. Isaiah said He has borne our griefs, and the word there can mean sicknesses and infirmities, and Matthew applies that prophecy to Jesus healing the sick, showing that His suffering on the cross reaches to our physical needs as well as our spiritual need for salvation. When Jesus took bread and said this is my body broken for you, He was inviting us to remember that provision. Jesus went about teaching and preaching and healing every sickness and every disease among the people, and He still has all power in the physical realm and in the spiritual realm.

We also remember that one man described in the Gospels had a withered hand, and the language suggests it became withered over time, likely from something like a stroke, and he was unable to use it. Jesus knew all about the cause and the impossibility from a human point of view, and He restored him. He sees your condition completely and He cares for you.

At the same time Scripture teaches us not to presume that we can dictate how or when God will heal. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and learned to trust God's answer. The gifts of healing are given as the Spirit wills, and as the body has many members with different functions, so God works in different ways in different lives. For now we see and understand in part, as children in spiritual things, and one day when we are with the Lord we will understand fully. Until then we walk by faith, trusting that we are complete in Christ. Your standing before God, your righteousness and salvation in Him, is already complete and cannot be added to, even while your body is still in the process of recovery.

So we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear one to You after this stroke. You are the Lord who heals. We ask for Your mercy and Your restoring hand upon body, mind, and spirit. We ask for complete recovery as it pleases You, for strength to return day by day, for clarity of mind, for peace to replace fear, and for Your presence to be near in every step of rehabilitation. Guide the doctors and therapists and give wisdom for each decision. Let Your healing power work both instantly as You will and also through the healing processes You have placed in the body. Comfort the heart, guard against discouragement, and help in trusting You through this gradual journey. We thank You that whatever our need, You become our answer, our healer, our provider, our peace, and our Savior. We place this life fully in Your hands and ask for Your will to be done with grace and wholeness. Amen.

Please continue to follow your medical care closely, rest as you are able, and keep your eyes on Jesus. He is with you in this process and He will not leave you. We are continuing to pray for you and asking God to give you renewed strength, patience, and hope in the days ahead.
