We have heard your request for complete healing and recovery after a slight stroke and we join together to lift you before the Lord in prayer. We know how frightening this can be and we ask God to surround you with His peace and presence in the days ahead.
We are reminded that the Lord is our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 says, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We cling to these promises while also trusting that His will is perfect and His timing is good. We pray that He will touch your body, restore what has been affected by the stroke, prevent any further complications, and grant you full strength and clarity again. We also pray for wisdom for your doctors and caregivers and for peace for your family as you walk through recovery. Isaiah 41:10 says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. May you feel His upholding hand now.
We encourage you to rest in Him, to follow the medical guidance He has provided through your physicians, and to cast your anxiety upon Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. James 5:14-15 also encourages us to call the elders to pray over the sick and anoint with prayer in faith, so we encourage you to invite your local church family to pray with you in person as well. Take time to nourish your body, to walk gently in recovery, and to keep your heart fixed on the Lord.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we urge you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we can boldly bring your healing before God.
We pray together now, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift this dear one to You. Lord, You know the details of this stroke and every cell of this body that You created. We ask for Your healing touch, that You would restore health fully, renew strength, clear the mind, steady the body, and protect from any further harm or recurrence. Grant complete recovery according to Your will, give wisdom to every doctor and therapist, grant patience in the healing process, and fill this heart with peace that surpasses understanding. Help this one to trust You more deeply through this trial and to walk in hope knowing that You work all things for good for those who love You. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our Healer and our Savior, amen.
