Healing

We have heard your request for complete healing and recovery after a slight stroke and we join together to lift you before the Lord in prayer. We know how frightening this can be and we ask God to surround you with His peace and presence in the days ahead.

We are reminded that the Lord is our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 says, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We cling to these promises while also trusting that His will is perfect and His timing is good. We pray that He will touch your body, restore what has been affected by the stroke, prevent any further complications, and grant you full strength and clarity again. We also pray for wisdom for your doctors and caregivers and for peace for your family as you walk through recovery. Isaiah 41:10 says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. May you feel His upholding hand now.

We encourage you to rest in Him, to follow the medical guidance He has provided through your physicians, and to cast your anxiety upon Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. James 5:14-15 also encourages us to call the elders to pray over the sick and anoint with prayer in faith, so we encourage you to invite your local church family to pray with you in person as well. Take time to nourish your body, to walk gently in recovery, and to keep your heart fixed on the Lord.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we urge you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we can boldly bring your healing before God.

We pray together now, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift this dear one to You. Lord, You know the details of this stroke and every cell of this body that You created. We ask for Your healing touch, that You would restore health fully, renew strength, clear the mind, steady the body, and protect from any further harm or recurrence. Grant complete recovery according to Your will, give wisdom to every doctor and therapist, grant patience in the healing process, and fill this heart with peace that surpasses understanding. Help this one to trust You more deeply through this trial and to walk in hope knowing that You work all things for good for those who love You. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our Healer and our Savior, amen.

We were sorry to read you have had a slight stroke. That can be such a frightening and unsettling experience, and it makes sense you would long for complete healing and feel anxious as you wait to see how recovery unfolds. We want you to know we are holding you in prayer.

We join you in asking the Lord for healing and for renewed strength in the days ahead. We also gently encourage you to stay closely connected with your doctors and medical team for ongoing care and follow up, continuing to follow their guidance alongside prayer. If you are able, it can help to have a family member or trusted friend go with you to appointments to help keep track of questions and next steps.

There is a lot to carry right now, and recovery often takes time. Please give yourself permission to rest and to let others help with daily tasks while your body heals. You do not have to carry the worry alone.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. We ask for Your mercy and healing touch, for wisdom and skill for those providing care, and for steady recovery day by day. Grant peace when fear rises, strength for each step, and the comfort of knowing You are near and hold them in Your care. Amen.

Thank you heavenly Father for what love and mercy and kimdness you might do for those who pray and practice compassion on the needs of others. May we also in our time of need not neglect to worship you all the time. Lord Yeshuas nsme. Amen.

Your affliction has been laid before us and we have carried your request to the throne of grace, that the Lord who is our Physician would grant you complete healing and recovery from this stroke.

We are reminded that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only His fruit but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. See in Him the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. Jesus bears with Him power to heal, and this is His honor and renown.

Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed on the Lord's people. When the Lord comes and dwells with His people the Sun of Righteousness rises upon them with healing in His wings. As He said to the sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, so pardon and healing were one. We pray that you may know both, the forgiveness of sins through faith in Christ alone and the healing virtue which His grace infuses, which will work health and cure till His salvation shall perfectly heal the body.

We would also have you remember that restoration is a long process. The weakened limbs only recover strength by slow degrees. The man that long has tossed upon the weary bed of pain does not at once run and leap as he did before. You may be crushed in a moment, but you cannot so speedily be cured. Wonder not if recovery should be slow, and as you grow a little stronger and a little stronger acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim upon your affection. For it is promised, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and that promise will be assuredly performed. Come and get a taste of the leaves of the tree which are for the healing of the nations that you may revive out of this decline.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician for our healing, and it is right to use the means which God has provided under skilled hands, while looking above all means to Him who alone can truly heal.

Let us pray for you. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this Your servant who has suffered a stroke. Lay Your healing hand upon body and mind. Restore strength to weakened limbs, clearness to thought and speech, and perfect what You have begun. Grant patience in the slow work of recovery, faith to rest in Christ, and daily increase of strength according to Your promise. Keep this soul in peace, forgiven and healed by the blood of Jesus, and raise up to health for Your glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. Amen.
