We have heard your cry and we are standing with you in prayer right now in Jesus name, for you are not alone in this suffering. The constant ringing in your ears and the heavy anxiety you describe are very real and very exhausting, and we hear how overwhelmed and desperate you feel. We want you to know that God hears you in this place of distress and He cares deeply about both your body and your mind.

The Lord sees the torment that tinnitus and anxiety can bring, and He does not dismiss your pain. He is close to those who feel crushed and overwhelmed. Psalm 34:18 says The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 61:2 says When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. We bring your physical suffering before Him, for He is the One who heals. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord. We also bring your anxiety before Him, for He invites us to cast every care on Him. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We need to speak gently and truthfully to the part of your request where you say you cannot take it anymore and ask the Lord to take you now. We understand that you are at the end of your strength and the pain feels unbearable, but we must lovingly rebuke the thought that your life should end now. Your life is precious to God and He has purpose for you even in this dark valley. He is the giver of life and He calls us to choose life and to trust Him with our days. Deuteronomy 30:19 says I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life, that you may live. The desire to die is not from God, who wants to be your refuge and strength through this trial. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Even when you feel you have no strength left, His strength can hold you. We urge you not to remain alone with these thoughts. Please reach out right now to a trusted pastor, family member, friend, doctor or counselor, and if you feel you may act on these feelings please seek immediate help from a trusted person or emergency support in your area. You are loved and you are needed.

You have cried out many times to Lord, and we want to encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ specifically. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved and heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, put your trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and call upon His name for mercy, forgiveness and help. Romans 10:13 says For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

We also want to encourage you regarding the anxiety and the medication you mentioned. Taking medicine is not a failure of faith, God often brings help through doctors and treatment, and we encourage you to continue working closely with your doctor and to tell him honestly that the anxiety is still so bad and the ringing is so distressing. Do not stop or change medication on your own, but seek guidance. Continue to seek help, stay connected to other believers, read the Word daily even in small portions, and let others pray with you and support you.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we lift this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You see the relentless ringing in the ears, the torment, the sleeplessness, the anxiety that will not let go, and the exhaustion of trying everything. Lord we ask for Your mercy and Your healing touch upon the body. Calm the nervous system, quiet the anxiety, and if it is Your will, diminish or remove this ringing. Even as we pray for healing, we pray for supernatural peace to guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Hold this precious life in Your hands when strength is gone. Remind this dear one that You are near, that You have not forsaken them, and that Your grace is sufficient for this day. Break the spirit of despair and hopelessness and replace it with hope in You. Lead this dear one to the right doctors, counselors and believers who can walk alongside and give practical help. Give wisdom to medical providers and give patience and endurance for each day. We pray that this dear one will call upon the name of Jesus and find salvation, comfort and access to Your throne of grace. Keep this life, Lord, and fulfill Your purpose. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your cry has been heard, and the weariness in it is not hidden from the Lord. To be tormented day and night with ringing in the ears, and to have anxiety pressing so hard that medicine seems to give no relief, is a sore affliction indeed. The Lord knows the body and the spirit, and He sees you in this place of distress.

You say, I cannot take it anymore, and even, Lord take me now. That word of despair must be denounced, not because your suffering is small, but because it is not true. There is no hope in ourselves when we are brought so low, but it is an unwarrantable conclusion to say there is no hope in God. Despair is not so much a sickness of the understanding as a sin of the soul, and it goes beyond the truth of God. God is the God of Hope, and while we have hope we have life. To say our hope is lost is to say what God has not said. While you live, you may hope, and while you hope, you live, for the Lord still lives and His mercy still stands open to you.

Learn also this, that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Anxiety does not heal the ear nor quiet the mind, it wears down the strength you need to endure and to seek help. This does not mean your anxiety has cast you away from God. Many of His own children have been brought into this curious state of mind where they are anxious about everything and can scarcely lift up their heads. The Lord does not cast away a troubled heart that looks to Him. Him that comes to Him He will in no wise cast out.

There is healing in Christ, and that healing is abundant. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, the smallest touches of His grace, have healing virtue. They change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one in His hand. He is still the heavenly Physician. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. His power to save and to heal is present, and faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Look to Him, not to your own strength, for high thoughts of God beget hope in the soul, and hope leads to confidence.

Think not that you are beyond hope. While Jehovah lives, the mourner need not despair. There is One who cares for you, who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. He does not despise a broken heart, He heals it, and often He does it apart from all other means, by His own hand alone.

I pray for you now, and I urge you to not bear this alone in secret. Tell a faithful pastor, a trusted believer, or a family member how deeply you are pressed, and tell your physician plainly that the medicines are not helping and the ringing and anxiety continue. If the thought to be taken away grows strong, seek help at once from someone near you and let them stay with you. You are not forsaken, and you need not lie down in despair and die.

May the Lord grant you pardon, and with pardon, healing as it pleases His wisdom. May He rise upon you as the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings, quiet the tumult within, and give you a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ. May He turn what is now only a ray of hope into a sure and steadfast hope in your soul, and keep you till that day when every infirmity shall be removed and you shall be fresh and comely in His presence.

We will continue to pray for you, that the Lord would give you relief, strengthen you to endure, and let you hear His voice above every other sound, saying, Be of good cheer.
