We hear your honest and humble request and we join with you in seeking God's mercy and healing. We thank you for acknowledging that these relationships were not ones you should have been in, for that confession is the beginning of restoration. We are reminded that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. When God forgives, He removes our transgressions completely, as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12. Though sin leaves consequences for ourselves and for others, God is able to heal and to restore what has been broken and to make us white as snow.
We want to speak clearly about relationships in light of Scripture because God loves you and wants what is best for you. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and that marriage should be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Hebrews 13:4. Any romantic relationship outside of that covenant, including living together or sexual intimacy before or outside of marriage, is fornication or adultery and is sin against God and against your own body. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18. We also encourage you that being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian believer, not simply companionship or passion. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have, or what fellowship does light have with darkness. 2 Corinthians 6:14. We urge you to turn fully from those past patterns, to pursue purity, and to seek a godly spouse in God's timing if it is His will for you to marry, rather than seeking another relationship for comfort or loneliness. Where you have caused hurt to others, we encourage you as God leads to humbly seek forgiveness and make what amends you can, walking in accountability with mature believers and in the counsel of a Bible believing church.
We also noticed your request mentions God but does not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we receive forgiveness and eternal life, for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23. We pray you are trusting in Him alone for salvation and bringing every request before God in Jesus name.
So together we pray for you now. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. We thank You for a repentant heart and we ask for Your full forgiveness and cleansing. Heal the broken in heart and bind up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. Mend the problems caused for this dear one and for others who were hurt through these relationships that should never have been entered. We ask You to restore what the locust has eaten and to redeem this time for Your glory. Joel 2:25. Where there is guilt, bring the peace of God which surpasses all understanding to guard hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7. Give wisdom to walk in purity, strength to flee temptation, and discernment to pursue only what honors You. Lead this dear one into a future that honors marriage and seeks a godly spouse if it is Your will, or to serve You faithfully in singleness with a whole heart. Guide every step and let all relationships from this day forward be centered on Christ and aligned with Your Word. We ask all this in the precious and saving name of Jesus. Amen.

There is the clear decision to turn from what was wrong and to receive God's mercy, and then there is the slower work of the heart catching up as memories, regret, and real consequences settle over time. It is normal if peace does not come all at once even after your decision before God is sincere.
One steady next step that helps many people is to bring each situation to the Lord by name in quiet prayer and ask for wisdom about what is yours to mend. For some things that may mean a sincere apology or making restitution where it would truly help and not cause more harm. For others it may mean keeping healthy distance and entrusting the outcome to Him. Talking this through with a trusted pastor or mature believer can help you sort which is which and stay accountable as you move forward.

There is forgiveness with God, and that truth must drive away despair. However sinful the past may have been, however many relationships you now see you should never have entered, there is forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone. It is a divine forgiveness, not from man but from Him against whom we have sinned, and it is complete. As soon as a penitent heart trusts in the crucified Saviour, all sins are forgiven, whether past, present, or to come. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance, and He never plays fast and loose with men. Believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself, as Martin Luther was bid to do in his dark distress, and rest in the blood that was shed for the unjust that He might bring us to God.
With that forgiveness there comes healing. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. He not only pardons but restores. The promise is sweet, they shall be as though I had not cast them aside. Sin has defaced the image of God, but the grace of God will renew it, and He can so effectually restore that all trace of sin shall be removed in His sight, and its bitter consequences in the life may be healed by His gracious hand. The joy of pardon can make us at last not to say, I am sick, for the inhabitant shall be forgiven his iniquity and shall find the sorrow of the past covered by mercy.
We pray for you now to that end. O Lord our God, with whom there is forgiveness, look upon this penitent one who confesses the wrong of former paths. For the sake of Jesus Christ Thy Son, grant full and free pardon, and let faith lay hold of it now. Heal what has been broken by these relationships, in this dear soul and in others who have been hurt thereby. Mend what we cannot mend, turn to good what has been sown in folly, and guard all hearts from further harm. Give wisdom and strength to walk henceforth in purity and obedience, according to Thy good design, and keep this one close to Christ, in whom alone is salvation. Let the healing leaves of Christ be applied to every wound, and make the life new by Thy Spirit.
