Beloved of All
Your request for prayer has been heard and we join you in lifting up this sister before the Lord. We thank God for her life of faithful service as a missionary and for all the years she has given in serving Him, and our hearts are moved with compassion for the severe pain she is now enduring.
We pray that our Lord Jesus Christ, our great High Priest who can have compassion on those compassed with infirmity, will draw near to her in this suffering. We ask Him to grant relief from pain according to His mercy and power, to give wisdom to those who care for her, and to fill her with His peace and comfort. As the Spirit moves where He wills and is not restrained by bodily limits, so we trust that He is able to strengthen and heal and sustain her.
We are reminded that while we rightly seek relief for the body, the exercise of godliness is what profits both in this life and in the life to come. Her faithful labor is not forgotten by God, and we pray that He will continue to purify and strengthen her soul through faith, mercy and love, and that He will use even this time of trial to draw her closer to Himself. May she know that her hope rests in Christ alone and that His kindness meets us in our weakness.
We will continue to pray that God will ease her pain, restore strength as it pleases Him, and surround her with His presence and the encouragement of those who love her. May the Lord grant her rest, courage, and a deep assurance of His care, and may He be glorified in her life.
We thank you for bringing this need to us and we stand with you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
