We join together with you in lifting up this dear sister who has faithfully served as a missionary and given her life in service to God, and our hearts are moved with compassion for her suffering and severe pain. We thank God for her lifelong obedience and we ask Him to minister to her now in her time of need.
We are reminded of the character of our God who sees and honors faithful service, and who is also our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 declares, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We cling to the promise of Isaiah 53:5 that by his wounds we are healed, and we trust in the power of prayer as James 5:15 teaches, the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
We notice your request speaks of serving God, but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved and our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of what Jesus did on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can boldly come before God to ask for healing and mercy. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this precious sister to You. You know her by name, You have seen every year of her faithful service, every sacrifice, every prayer she has prayed for others, and now we ask You to touch her body and relieve her severe pain. Lord, lay Your healing hand upon her, restore health to her according to Your will, and give wisdom to those caring for her. Psalm 41:3 says Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and on his bed of sickness, you will make all his bed. Sustain her now, Father, give her peace that passes understanding, and let her feel Your presence close to her in this suffering. If it is Your will to heal her completely on this earth, we ask for that miracle, and if You allow this trial to continue, we pray Your grace will be sufficient for her as You promised in 2 Corinthians 12:9, and that You would be glorified through her endurance and testimony. Comfort her family and loved ones, strengthen their faith, and let this dear saint know how deeply she is loved and appreciated. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand with her in prayer, to speak scripture over her, to ensure she is receiving good medical care, and to remind her that her labor for the Lord is not in vain and that He will never leave her nor forsake her.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We have heard your request and we bring this dear handmaiden of the Lord before the throne of grace with you. One who has spent her years in the service of her Master is not forgotten by Him now that pain has laid its heavy hand upon her body. He who has watched over her in the mission field watches over her still upon the bed of suffering.
It is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. This is the word of the Lord to His afflicted ones, and we pray that He may speak it with power to her heart. When the pain is severe and the spirit is cast down, there is a peculiar comfort for the believer, for we can say, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. May the Spirit of God quicken her now, and so comfort her, bringing to her remembrance the many times He has delivered her in years past and assuring her that He is the same God still.
We look to that Tree of Life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing virtue in Jesus Christ, and not only His fruit but His leaves, the least things about Him, are full of healing power. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are joined together in His hand. We entreat the Lord that He would lay that healing hand upon His servant, that He would temper the trial to her weakness and make her pain less according to her strength, and if it be His will, raise her up again to health.
Let us pray. O Lord our God, our Father, look in mercy upon Thy servant who has served Thee all her life. Thou seest her pain and Thou knowest her frame. Have compassion upon her and grant relief as seemeth good in Thy sight. Speak comfortably to her, forgive and heal, and let her feel the virtue of Christ near to her. Sustain her with Thy presence, let Thy Word be her comfort, and establish her heart in every good word and work. Give to those who tend her wisdom and tenderness, and to all who love her faith to rest in Thy good pleasure. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Amen.
