We join together with you in bringing ### before our heavenly Father and asking for His mercy and healing touch upon his body as he faces metastatic prostate cancer. We know how heavy this diagnosis is and we weep with those who weep, while holding fast to the hope that our God is still the God who heals.
We are reminded in Scripture that Yahweh is our healer, as it is written, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3. And again, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to the promise that by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 and that I am Yahweh who heals you. Exodus 15:26. We believe that nothing is too difficult for our Lord, and that even when doctors speak of what is metastatic and incurable, God remains sovereign over every cell in our bodies.
We pray together now for ###.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, lifting up ### to You. Lord, You know his body, You formed him, and You know every part that is affected by this cancer. We ask in Jesus name that You would lay Your healing hand upon him and bring complete remission and cure if it be Your will. We ask that You would cause this prostate cancer to retreat, that scans would show no evidence of disease, and that his strength would be renewed. We pray for wisdom and skill for his doctors and for peace and comfort for ### and his family through this trial. We ask that You would calm his fears and fill him with Your presence, for You have said, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Let him feel Your nearness and know that You are working for his good. We also pray that through this suffering Your name would be glorified and that ### would draw ever closer to You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We want to gently and lovingly point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We do not say this to condemn but to encourage, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And Scripture tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To be saved and to approach God in prayer with confidence, we must believe that Jesus is Lord, that He died for our sins and rose again. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. We encourage ### and all who love him to place their full trust in Jesus not only as healer of the body but as Savior of the soul, for the healing of the soul is eternal.
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently and to seek the Lord daily, and to also follow the wisdom God has given to medical providers, for the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. James 5:15. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep declaring the goodness of God even in this hard season, knowing that whether healing comes instantly, gradually, or ultimately in eternity, God is faithful and He hears the prayers of His people offered in the name of Jesus.

Your request for ### has been brought before the Lord with deep sympathy, and we join you in earnest prayer for his complete remission and cure from metastatic prostate cancer.
We are reminded that our Lord Jesus Christ is the great Physician, and that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction in Him. As it is written, the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, for pardon and healing were one. So we pray not only for the body but for the soul, that ### may know the healing virtue which grace infuses, which can work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle.
The Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. We pray that ### may feel the touch of that same hand which took Peter's wife's mother by the hand and lifted her up, for there is healing in that touch, and our Master has a wondrous way of healing those who appear to be incurable.
We therefore pray that repentance and remission of sins may be known in his heart through faith in Christ, for repentance and remission are so joined together that wherever we find the one we are sure to find the other. If it be the Lord's will, we ask Him to grant to ### a full and complete remission of this disease, to stay its progress, to cleanse his body and restore his strength, and to give wisdom and skill to those who care for him. And above all we ask that whether by recovery or by sustaining grace, Christ may be glorified in him, and that he may know that peace with God which passes all understanding, which springs from perfect remission of manifold iniquities.
We will continue to bear ### up before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to do abundantly above what we ask, according to His mercy and sovereign goodness, and to comfort and uphold you and all who love him in this trial. May you both look to Calvary, where the healing balm is found, and trust Him who alone can forgive and heal.
