Healing

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for my healing from some really negative experiences I had on a certain social media within various forums on that social media that were supposed to be Christian. Thank you.

We lift you up before the Lord and stand with you in prayer for healing from the hurt you have carried from those negative experiences on social media. It grieves us that places that were supposed to be Christian and encouraging became a source of wounding instead. We know that words have great power to hurt or to heal, and even among believers our words can cause deep pain when they are not spoken in love.

We take comfort that God sees this hurt and He is the healer of wounded hearts. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. Jesus invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. We pray that you will bring all of this pain, disappointment, and discouragement to Him and allow Him to wash over you with His peace and restore you.

We also want to gently remind you of something we noticed in your request, that you did not mention the name of Jesus. We want to share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by putting our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and can come boldly before His throne for healing and grace. We encourage you to call upon His name and trust Him fully for your healing.

The scripture teaches us, Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear Ephesians 4:29. When Christian forums fail to live by this, the wounds can feel even deeper because we expect grace and truth there. We encourage you to forgive those who have spoken harshly or acted without love, not because what they did was right, but because forgiveness frees your own heart and allows God to heal you. Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32.

We pray together for you. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to heal the memories and the sting of those negative experiences and to bind up every wound left by harsh words, judgment, strife, or discouragement on those forums. Wash away any lies that were spoken over them and replace them with Your truth. Renew their mind and guard their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to forgive those who hurt them and to release any bitterness. Draw them close to Your Word and to healthy, local fellowship where they can be built up in love and truth. Restore their joy in You and let them know how deeply they are loved and valued by You. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to take time to rest from those social media spaces if needed and to be renewed in your mind by the Word of God. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. Fill your thoughts with what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and of good report Philippians 4:8. Seek out sincere fellowship with other believers face to face where you can be encouraged and where you can encourage others. If those wounds continue to feel heavy, consider sharing them with a trusted pastor or mature Christian believer for counsel and prayer. We trust that God will use even this painful experience for your good as you continue to walk with Him, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We are really sorry you went through that. When a place that calls itself Christian ends up feeling harsh or dismissive, the hurt can linger even longer than the comments themselves. It makes sense you are asking for healing.

One thing we have seen help is understanding that healing often has two parts. There is a quiet decision to not carry the offense forward or seek payback in your mind, and then there is the slower work of the heart catching up, where the sting, anger or unease fades over time. Replaying those threads over and over can keep the wound fresh, even when you have stepped away.

If it would help, we encourage you to give yourself a real break from that social media space for a while. You do not need to keep checking or defending yourself there. If you can, talk through what happened with one trusted pastor, counselor or mature friend offline, someone who will listen without debating. A smaller, kinder community often restores what a large forum can tear down.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You see the words that wounded and the disappointment that came with them. Bring rest, mend what feels raw, and guide them toward relationships that reflect Your kindness. Lead them step by step into wholeness. In Jesus' name, amen.

Father, we know You are gracious, there's no lack or unwillingness on your end... Inscribe Matthew 6:25-34 on our hearts, with thanksgiving we pray, Phil 4:6-7, Phil 4:139, in Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14, Amen, Rev 3:14, 2 Cor 1:20, Eph 1:3, 2 Pet 1:3-7.
