Healing

Thank you for sharing your need so honestly. I have prayed for you, asking the Father to touch your neck and back, to relieve this pain and to strengthen you and restore your health.

God cares about your physical suffering. Scripture shows that healing is part of what Jesus has provided. Matthew, writing under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, tells us that when many sick people were brought to Jesus one evening, He healed them, and Matthew connects that to the prophecy of Isaiah that He bore our sicknesses and infirmities. That prophecy is not limited to spiritual forgiveness alone. It includes our bodies. When Jesus broke the bread and said it was His body given for us, He was pointing to a work that covers the whole person.

I believe with all my heart that God still heals today and that He is concerned with our physical needs. At the same time there is much about healing that remains a mystery to us. We do not fully understand why some receive an immediate touch and others experience healing more slowly. The Gospels record one instance where a healing came gradually, which reminds us that God sometimes works instantly and sometimes works step by step over time.

Every true healing is from God, even when it comes through the natural processes He placed within our bodies. He created our bodies and He created the way they mend and recover, so a gradual recovery through rest, care, and medical help is no less divine than a sudden miracle. He also brings healing to the mind and heart, easing anxiety, fear, and the weariness that comes with ongoing pain, and that inner healing is precious as well.

I do not want you to feel pressured by hype or emotional display. Real healing from the Lord does not require that. It rests on His compassion and His power, and on simple trust in Him. Continue to bring your need to Him honestly, thanking Him that He hears you and loves you. Scripture shows that a thankful heart that glorifies God opens the way to even deeper wholeness, not just relief for the body but peace with God Himself.

So I pray now that the Lord will lay His hand upon you, ease the pain in your neck and back, and grant you strength. Whether He lifts it in a moment or works gradually day by day, may you sense His presence, His comfort, and His sustaining grace. May He give wisdom to those who care for you and guide you in steps that promote health, and may He fill you with peace as you trust Him. In the name of Jesus, our healer and our hope, amen.
