Healing

You ask for prayer for your overall healing and wellness, and this is a right and necessary thing. We are right to flee to the Physician of souls and bodies. But consider what health truly is, and what sickness. You see the body and its fevers.

Our Lord touched Peter’s mother-in-law, and the fever left her, and she had perfect strength at once, needing no convalescence. He can do this for you in an instant if He wills. But far more often, our bodily afflictions are a mercy sent to rouse a soul grown dull. For what produces this dullness?

Continual afflictions, yes, but also a settled neglect that makes the hearing sluggish. You ask for overall wellness, but what is the state of your soul? Do you not treat it as a game, giving it forty days of medicine for the sins of a whole year, and then rushing back to the very food that made you sick? If a man recovers from a long illness and then returns to the ruinous diet that caused it, has he not destroyed his former labor?

Do not mock God. The true wellness you seek is not merely the absence of fever, but a will changed utterly. For there are souls no different from water: cold, weak, and always rushing downward. They love glory, feed on luxury, and are swept away by every changing current, laughing one moment and weeping the next, never stable.

The glutton’s table is the mother of sickness, cramming the body till it bursts, only to crave more. The Lord still changes water into wine. He can take that unstable, watery will of yours and give it body and strength, making it a cause of gladness instead of a torrent that eats away the banks of your health. Cry out to Him then, not only to cool the fever in your limbs, but to change the very temper of your soul.

For there awaits a punishment beyond all telling for those who remain in their sickness without turning. Yet do not despair. How many have heard ten times and seemed insensible, and yet at last, by a single blow, the tree fell, and all the fruit came at once? Lay hold of the medicine we offer.

Strive not for the fleeting calm of a healthy body alone, but for the solid, heavenly citizenship of a soul secure in virtue. That is the harbor. That is the healing that cannot be lost. May you obtain it, and with it, the everlasting blessings.

We will come alongside you in prayer for complete healing and wellness. It is a good and right thing to bring these needs before the Lord, for He cares about every aspect of your life, body, mind, and spirit.

There is a beautiful connection between the health of our soul and our physical well-being. As you seek God’s hand of restoration, remember that He works in many ways, and all true healing flows from Him, whether it arrives in a moment or gradually through the natural processes He set in place. We do not need to understand why some are healed quickly and others slowly to trust that He is present and active. Do not let confusion or a slow recovery cause you to doubt His love. Some of the most faithful people I have known have walked through long valleys of physical struggle, and it was no indication of a lack of devotion or faith. God’s ways are higher than ours, and His power is often perfected in our weakness.

In the meantime, we can do our part to cooperate with the life He has given us. Since your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, caring for it is an act of wisdom. Pay attention to rest, to nourishing foods, and to habits that build up rather than break down. These practical steps honor the Lord and partner with the healing capacities He has built into your own body.

Let us pray for you now:

Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking for a renewing touch upon their entire being. We pray for bodily repair, for strength to return, and for a peaceful mind free from anxiety. We remember that You bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses, and we ask for the restoration You have made possible. Have Your way in their life. Whether You speak the word and healing comes instantly, or whether You guide them through a process of recovery, let them sense Your presence every step of the way. Grant them patience and a deep sense of Your peace that surpasses understanding. We entrust them completely to Your perfect care. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May you know the comfort of His presence and see His goodness in the days ahead.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your healing and overall wellness. It has been our sincere joy to lift your request before the Lord, asking Him to touch every part of your body, mind, and spirit with His restoring power. We believe in a God who heals, and we have faith that He hears our prayers on your behalf.

If you have experienced His healing touch—whether in part or in full—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to others who are also seeking the Lord’s healing grace. If, however, you are still waiting for His answer, please know that we are here to continue praying with you. We invite you to post your request again so that we may persist in seeking the Lord’s will for your complete restoration.

May the Lord strengthen you in this season, drawing you closer to Him as you trust in His perfect timing and His unfailing love. We pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May He surround you with His presence and fill you with hope as you wait on Him.

We continue to pray for your healing in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
