We lift up your husband before the Lord, our Great Physician, who sees every pain and knows every need. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). We declare Your Word over : "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we believe in Your healing power and ask that You touch his foot and hand, reducing the swelling, realigning what is out of place, and restoring full strength and sensation.
We also rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name, for Your Word says, "Surely he has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pains; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted" (Isaiah 53:4). We stand on the promise that by His stripes, healing is ours. Father, we ask that You guide the doctors and medical professionals treating him, giving them wisdom and clarity in their care. If there are lifestyle changes or dietary adjustments needed to support his healing, reveal them to him and grant him the discipline to follow through.
We also encourage you both to examine your hearts and lives before the Lord. Are there areas of stress, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin that may be hindering his healing? James 5:16 reminds us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Let this be a time of drawing closer to God, seeking His will in every area of your lives.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, trusting in Your goodness and mercy. We ask for Your healing hand to rest upon , bringing relief to his foot and hand. Lord, we rebuke the pain, swelling, and numbness in the name of Jesus, and we command his body to align with Your perfect design. Strengthen his faith and ours, that we may see Your glory revealed in this situation. We also ask for Your peace to guard his heart and mind, for You are our refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). May this trial draw him, and both of you, closer to You, deepening your trust in Your promises. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the healing that is already on the way. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand on God’s Word and trust in His timing. Keep seeking Him, and do not grow weary in prayer. We are confident that He is working even now for ’s good and His glory. Healing was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching, and Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, the least thing about Christ is healing. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and you have but to bring your husband’s case before Him. We very speedily care for bodily diseases; they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician. Yet the physician of souls is the true healer of the body as well. Let your prayer rise out of the low dungeon, that prayer from one who is near the gates of death is a prevailing prayer! The doctor may say gout, but the Lord’s hand is not shortened.
Betook yourself to prayer with humility of spirit, for true prayer is just pleading with the Most High, spreading your case before Him, and pressing your suit with all the arguments you can muster. God has been a Husband to you, He has set His special love upon you, communed with you lovingly, and taken care to provide for you. Oh, cry to Him who is a Husband to your soul, “Come to me, visit me! Reveal Yourself to me!” And remember, when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, “Your sins are forgiven you.” Pardon and healing are one. So lay hold of His mercy for your husband’s body and soul, for healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and bestowed when we look not for them.
There are days of visitation when the power of the Lord is present to heal, and the patient to be healed is very soon present too. We have prayed! There has been such prayer put up by this congregation as I believe was never excelled. Prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time. Spurn the dark suggestion to give up the closet; the Lord will still hear your prayer. Get the promise, His leaf shall not wither, and then offer the prayer, and the prayer will be answered as sure as God is God. Only you who have been healed can tell of the Good Physician’s power, but you may yet praise Him with a song of deliverance. He will be very pitiful and have compassion upon you in this misery, and though the answer may not come in the way you expect, His healing leaves change the lifeblood, affect the spirits, and make the nature other than it was before. Bring your staggering man to Jesus in prayer; He hears even the prayer that seems to reel to and fro when the mind is at its wit’s end.
