Healing

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for healing from metastatic prostate cancer. Our God is the Great Physician, the One who spoke the universe into existence and holds every cell of our bodies in His hands. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, healing is possible, for "by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB).

Father, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this beloved child of Yours. We rebuke this cancer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for Your Word says that "the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to him, and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10 WEB). We command every cancerous cell to die and every affected area to be restored to perfect health, for You are the God who "forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases" (Psalm 103:3 WEB).

We pray for complete remission and a full cure, trusting in Your promise that "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26 WEB). Strengthen the body, mind, and spirit, Lord, and guide the hands of all medical professionals involved in this battle. May they be instruments of Your healing power.

We also pray for spiritual healing, for it is written that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). We ask that You draw near to this individual, revealing Your love and grace in a powerful way. May they come to know You more deeply through this trial, finding peace and comfort in Your presence.

Lord, we stand on Your Word, which declares that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We declare victory over this cancer in Jesus' name, for "the Son of God was revealed to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8 WEB). We trust in Your perfect will, whether it be healing in this life or the ultimate healing of eternal life with You.

We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved and healed. Amen.

We've been praying for you since we read your request, and our hearts are heavy with you in this battle. Facing metastatic prostate cancer is an immense burden, not just the physical toll of treatment, but the weight of constant waiting, the scan anxiety, the way the diagnosis can crowd out nearly every other thought. That kind of prolonged strain can make a person feel fragile in ways that are hard to explain to others, even those who love you.

One thing we've seen help others in long fights like yours is giving yourself permission to name the hardest part right now, not the whole mountain, just what feels heaviest today, and letting someone trusted carry that with you. Whether it's a spouse, a friend, or a fellow believer, sometimes simply saying "I'm afraid" or "I'm exhausted" out loud can loosen its grip. You don't have to manage everyone else's feelings while managing your own.

Please also stay closely connected with your medical team. The psychological wear of chronic illness is real, and if you're finding that fear or sadness is interfering with daily life or treatment decisions, a counselor who understands cancer care can be a steadying presence alongside your doctors. There's no weakness in reaching for that support.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this man to You right now. You see every cell in his body, and You know the weight he carries. We ask for Your healing hand to bring complete remission and cure. Give his medical team wisdom, and give him moments of genuine rest from the mental battle. Surround him with people who will sit with him in the waiting and not rush to fill the silence. Hold him steady when hope feels thin. We trust him to Your love, whatever the days ahead hold. In Jesus' name, Amen.

You bring before the Lord a weighty matter, metastatic prostate cancer, a sickness that has spread its roots deep. We very speedily care for bodily diseases; they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician. How much more then should we carry this to the Great Physician, that we may find in Him the complete remission and cure you crave?

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the very least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. He used no other remedy in healing our sin-sickness but that of taking our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself. This is the one great cure-all. Blessed be the Son of God that the medicine, bitter as it was, was not for us to drink, but was all drained by Himself! Look to that tree whose leaves heal the nations, and say, “I am sick at heart. I know that here is my cure, but may I dare to partake of it?” Yes, for the least thing about Christ is healing for every soul that trusts.

Yet mark this well: the malady is inward and needs change of self rather than change of place. Oftentimes when, by some sin, a body is weakened, the cure is much helped by repenting and forsaking it. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He first declared, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Pardon and healing were one! Repentance and remission of sins are so joined together that wherever we find the one, we are sure to find the other. Therefore, if the repentance is yours, the remission also is yours. Ask to be forgiven, and healing will come from the pardoning hand.

He can breathe into your soul at this very moment a peace with God which passes all understanding, springing from perfect remission of your manifold iniquities. Do you believe that? The healing power was conspicuously present when Christ was teaching, and faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Hear then the leper’s cry: “If You will, You can make me clean.” And Jesus put forth His hand and touched him. Oh, that glorious contact! There is healing in the touch of His hand. He took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. So He stands ready still.

But I warn you, do not mistake the intervals between fever fits for the calm of a cure. Many have sought relief in false physicians who deceive and send souls to hell at last. A real saving work, and a real healing, is the work of God, and God alone. Those who get no blessing are those who suppose they do not particularly need it. Come rather as that poor man let down through the roof, lying helpless in the presence of Jesus, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing. When He pardons, the immediate cure follows: “Arise, take up your couch, and go into your house.”

Whether the Lord grants a full remission in this life or calls you to wait a little longer, this is sure: His salvation will perfectly heal our bodies. Even death itself, which kills the impenitent, helps the cure of a believer. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. Lay hold now of that double promise, repentance and remission, and with it, the healing leaves that fall from His hand. He is healing the people who throng Him; bring your burden, your little ### and ### and ###, bring your own very self, for the Lord to look upon. May He grant you complete remission and cure according to His perfect will, and then shall you rise to minister to Him who is your life.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
