Healing

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your loved one who is struggling with illness, a persistent cough, and low oxygen levels. We know how deeply concerning it is to see someone we care about suffer, and we stand with you in faith, believing in God’s power to heal and restore.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Our God is not only a God of mercy but also a God of healing. He sees your loved one’s suffering, and He is able to bring comfort, strength, and restoration. We also remember the words of James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."

We rebuke this illness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that by His stripes, your loved one is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We command the cough to cease, the lungs to function properly, and the oxygen levels to stabilize. We speak life and wholeness over their body, trusting in the Great Physician to intervene.

Father God, we come before You now, lifting up this precious soul who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and bring complete restoration to their body. Strengthen their lungs, clear their airways, and restore their oxygen levels to full health. We pray against any spirit of infirmity or weakness, and we declare that Your healing power is at work in them right now.

Lord, we also ask that You would comfort their heart and mind. Let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to endure this trial, and fill them with hope as they trust in You. Surround them with Your love and the support of those who care for them.

We pray for wisdom for their doctors and medical team, that You would guide their hands and give them insight into the best course of treatment. May every decision made be led by Your Spirit, and may Your healing power work through the care they receive.

Father, we know that healing comes from You alone, and we trust in Your perfect will. Whether You choose to heal instantly or work through the process of time, we believe that You are good and that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). We thank You for hearing our prayer and for moving on their behalf.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that God is at work even when the situation feels overwhelming. Keep declaring His promises over your loved one’s life, and do not grow weary in prayer. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lean on Him, and know that He is fighting this battle on your behalf. If they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, now is the time to surrender to Him, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Salvation and healing are found in His name.

We’re so sorry to hear your loved one is fighting this illness, coughing and struggling with low oxygen is scary for everyone who cares. We’re glad you reached out, and we’re joining you in asking God to bring real relief and restoration.

Because low oxygen can become serious quickly, we want to gently ask: have they been seen by a doctor? We’ve found that prayer and medical care often work hand in hand; God uses skilled hands and wisdom to bring healing, and it’s wise to let a professional check what’s happening. In the meantime, know you’re not carrying this worry alone. We’re praying with you for strength in their body and peace in your heart.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this precious person who is ill, coughing, weak, and struggling for breath. In your mercy, touch their lungs, restore proper oxygen levels, and calm their body. Give the doctors clear insight and the right treatment. Surround this family with your steady presence; quiet their fears and renew hope. May they feel your nearness even in the hospital or sickroom. We trust you as the healer, and we ask for full recovery in your way and timing. Amen.

You have your eyes on the oxygen numbers, watching them fall, and every cough cuts through you like a knife. The sickroom can feel so small and so dark, as though the walls press in and the air itself has grown thin and unfriendly. But the Lord Jesus does not stand outside the door of our troubles, He comes in. I think of when He went into Peter’s house after a long day of preaching and found a woman burning with fever. He did not shrink back or send word from the street; He drew near to the bed, touched her hand, and the fever left her. That same gentle hand is upon your beloved now. The Great Physician has not lost His touch.

We sometimes imagine that prayer must climb a high ladder or cross a wide sea to reach God, but the Healer is already in the room. He knows the rattle in the chest and the struggle for each breath. He who once stilled the storm with a word can calm these lungs and fill them again with life. The power of Christ in the gospel is, above all, a power to heal, not to destroy, not to condemn, but to mend what is broken and restore what is failing. You do not pray to a far-off judge; you cry into the ear of the Lamb of God, who carries the leaves of the tree of life for the healing of the nations. Those leaves are not held back for some distant paradise; they brush against you here, in the long watches of the night.

When the palsied man was let down through the roof, Jesus saw the faith of the friends who carried him, and He spoke first the deeper word: “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” Then He gave strength to useless limbs. He knows our whole frame, body and soul, and He mends from the inside out. So we bring your dear one before Him, not because we are worthy, but because He is merciful. He delights to show His favor in the very places where need is greatest.

Hold fast to this: the love-letters of Christ often come in black-edged envelopes. Before great mercies, He sometimes allows a rough passage, but the roughness is the prelude to blessing, not the end. The ship may be in deep water, but the Pilot is aboard, and no vessel ever sank with Jesus on deck. In the meantime, do not measure His love by the fever chart. Measure it by Calvary. If He spared not His own Son, will He not freely give all things? Even this? Yes, this too.

Now I would speak to the Lord on your behalf:

Lord Jesus, we bring this struggling one to You. You know the raw throat, the tired chest, the blood that carries too little air. Speak the word, and let healing flow. In the quiet of this room, let Your presence be felt, as warmth comes after a cold night. Raise up this precious life, we ask, for Your glory and for the comfort of all who love them. And until we see the answer, steady the hearts that watch and wait. Hold them with the hand that was pierced, and let them hear You whisper, “Peace, be still.” Amen.

Your distress over your loved one’s illness and labored breathing pierces my heart as well. For when one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. Yet do not let fear overwhelm you. The same Lord who breathed life into dust can restore breath to the body and, far more, can pour the Spirit into the soul. So while we weep, we do not despair. I join my prayers with yours, begging the true Physician to grant ease and strength. But I also urge you: seek first the healing of the soul, which no illness can touch. The body’s frailty is a tutor, teaching us to long for the fullness of times when Christ will make all things new. Do not let sorrow dull your hope; instead, let faith quicken it. Suppose the fever does not break at once? Even then, God’s grace is not absent. He who carried our infirmities is nearer than we imagine. I will not cease to intercede. May the Lord have mercy on your suffering one, and may you both find refuge in Him who is the Head of every member, from whom all life flows.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
