Healing

We lift up before the throne of grace, asking the Great Physician to touch every part of their body, mind, and spirit with divine healing and restoration. The Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).

Father, we ask You to search ’s heart and reveal any area that may be hindering complete healing. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or sin that needs to be confessed, grant them the courage and humility to turn to You in repentance. Your Word tells us in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We pray that would experience the freedom and wholeness that comes from walking in obedience to You.

We also rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that may be afflicting . Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy, and by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We declare that sickness has no place in ’s life and command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for strength, peace, and comfort as they wait on You, trusting in Your perfect timing and will.

Lord, we ask that You would fill with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom to make choices that honor You, whether in diet, rest, or seeking godly medical advice. Surround them with a community of believers who will uplift them in prayer and encouragement. Remind them daily of Your love and faithfulness, that they may not grow weary or lose heart.

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who alone has the power to save, heal, and restore. May feel Your presence closely as they walk this journey, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have asked for healing, for body and for spirit, for every part that is weak or weary, and that prayer is already a garland of hope. It tells me that you believe the Lord Jesus is both able and willing to draw near to you in your need. And that, dear soul, is no small thing. The very wish to be made whole, whispered into the ear of the Great Physician, is a sure token that He has not passed you by.

Think of a house where a fever has taken hold. It may be the poorest cottage, just a fisherman’s hut, but even there, especially there, the Lord of glory is pleased to enter. When Jesus stepped across Peter’s threshold, He did not recoil from the sickness in the room. The fever burned; the air was thick with it; and yet the King came. Your own body may be that frail house at this moment, and your wellness a candle guttering low. But Jesus enters where the trouble is. He does not wait for you to be whole before He will come; He comes precisely because you are not whole, and because you have turned your face toward Him.

Is there a tangle of anxiety wrapped around the ache in your limbs or the weariness in your mind? Bring it all. The Lord Jesus is no hard physician who barks at the bedside; He is the Beloved Physician, tender with every wound. When a man was let down through the roof on his pallet, paralysed and completely helpless, our Lord saw not only the crippled limbs but the deeper need, and He spoke peace to the heart first: “Your sins are forgiven you.” Then He gave strength to the body. So it is still. Healing and pardon come from the same gracious hand. The leaves of the tree of life, the healing that is in Christ, are not locked away in some far corner of paradise, inaccessible while you groan here. They are overhanging you now, ready for every need, and the river of life flows close by your door.

Do not imagine that sickness means your Lord has cast you aside. The very ones He loves most He sometimes puts to bed in the school of affliction, and there He teaches them His own nearness. The wheat must be sifted, and the vessel scoured, but it is all in the hand of a Father who does not break the bruised reed. Your request for overall wellness has reached the throne, and He who heard the cry of the paralysed man will hear yours. It may be that the healing will come as a sudden touch that banishes the fever and sets you on your feet again. It may come more slowly, a leaf at a time, fresh strength returning step by step. But come it will, in His perfect way, because the gospel is a healing power, and it is His joy to bind up the broken-hearted and to mend what is torn.

For now, rest your head upon this promise: the Lord is your God, and He will hear you. Lay the whole weight of your need upon Him without reserve, and trust His love when you cannot trace His hand. His look toward you is not a look of displeasure but of quickening mercy, the very look that melted Peter after his fall and sent him out to weep and then to be restored.

Let us pray.

Lord Jesus, lover of sick and sorrowing ones, look now upon this beloved soul. You know every point where body or mind is under the shadow, every hidden ache, every silent sigh. In Your own gentle time, speak the word that drives out the fever of affliction and restores wellness from head to foot. But until that day, be their strength, their peace, their quiet rest. Forgive every sin, still every fear, and let the healing leaves of Your cross drop sweetness into this hour. Amen.
