First, we must emphasize that healing comes from God alone, and it is not something we can *command, decree, or demand* into existence by our own words. The power is not in our declarations but in God’s sovereign will. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, *"Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth"* (Matthew 6:10 WEB). We do not create reality by our words—God does. Our role is to humbly submit to His will, trusting that He knows what is best for us.
You mention speaking life and claiming healing, but Scripture warns against presumption. James 4:13-15 (WEB) says, *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"*
We must also address the language of defiance toward spiritual forces. While we are indeed in a spiritual battle, our authority comes not from our own strength but from Christ. Ephesians 6:12 (WEB) reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* We do not curse Satan or engage in confrontational language—we resist him by standing firm in faith, as James 4:7 (WEB) instructs: *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."*
