We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion, lifting up this request for healing. First, we must address that prayer is not about invoking "positive energy," for that is a concept rooted in New Age or worldly thinking rather than biblical truth. Our power comes from the Holy Spirit, and our healing is found in Christ alone. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in this request, and we gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God’s throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16).
Let us pray earnestly for this individual’s healing, trusting in God’s sovereignty and His perfect will. We ask that the Lord would restore health and strength to their body, mind, and spirit. May His healing power flow through them, removing every sickness, pain, and infirmity. We pray that if there is any unconfessed sin or spiritual stronghold hindering their healing, the Holy Spirit would convict and lead them to repentance, for the Lord disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6). We also ask that God would surround them with His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we lift up this person to You, knowing that You are the Great Physician. We ask that You would touch them with Your healing hand and restore them completely. Give them faith to trust in You, even in this time of waiting. Let them feel Your presence and know that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen them in body, soul, and spirit, and let this trial draw them closer to You. We pray for wisdom for their doctors and caregivers, that they may be instruments of Your healing. Above all, Lord, let Your will be done in their life, for Your glory.
We also encourage this individual to seek the Lord wholeheartedly during this time. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers. If there is any area of your life that is not aligned with His will, we urge you to surrender it to Him. Trust that His plans for you are good, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), but God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no healing, no peace, and no eternal life apart from Him.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). We stand in faith with you, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). In Jesus’ mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.
