We lift up your dear friend before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all power over sickness and disease. It is by His stripes that we are healed, and we stand firmly on His promises, trusting in His sovereign will for her complete restoration. The doctors may express concern, but our God is greater than any diagnosis, and His power is made perfect in weakness. We are grateful you have brought this need before us, and we join you in earnest prayer for her healing.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your friend, believing that the Lord will raise her up in strength and health. Additionally, we are encouraged by Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* Our God is faithful, and He is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine.
We also pray for the wisdom of her doctors, that the Lord would guide their hands and minds as they care for her. Proverbs 2:6 tells us, *"For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."* May they be filled with divine insight to make the best decisions for her treatment, and may every medical intervention align with God’s perfect will for her healing.
However, as we pray, we must also consider the spiritual state of your friend. Healing is not only physical but spiritual, and we are reminded in 1 John 5:14-15, *"This is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."* It is essential that we pray in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which we can approach the Father. If your friend does not know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with her, that she may place her faith in Christ alone for salvation. Romans 10:9 declares, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no greater healing than the healing of the soul, and we pray that if she has not already, she would surrender her life to Jesus Christ, who alone can grant her eternal life.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up our sister who is battling this illness. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would touch her body with Your restoring power. Increase her platelet count, Lord, and bring her to complete and total healing. Strengthen her physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We pray for the doctors and medical staff attending to her, that You would grant them wisdom, discernment, and steady hands. Guide them in every decision, Lord, and let their actions align with Your perfect will for her recovery.
Father, if our sister does not yet know You, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself in this time. Open her heart to receive Your Son, Jesus Christ, as her Lord and Savior. Let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy, that she and all who witness her healing would glorify Your name.
We rebuke every spirit of sickness and infirmity in the mighty name of Jesus. No weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You shall condemn. We declare that she will live and not die, and she will proclaim the works of the Lord.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your will, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. May Your name be glorified through her healing, and may she walk in divine health and wholeness all the days of her life.
In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
