Healing, stress, anxiety

We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your need for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. We join our hearts with yours, seeking the Lord’s mercy and peace in this time of struggle.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We take comfort in knowing that God hears your cries and invites you to cast every burden upon Him, for He cares deeply for you (1 Peter 5:7).

We also stand on the promise of healing found in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We believe in the power of prayer and the Lord’s ability to restore your body, mind, and spirit according to His will.

Father God, we lift up [this dear one] to You, asking for Your healing touch to flow through every part of their body. Bring relief from pain, strength where there is weakness, and restoration where there is brokenness. We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and stress in Jesus’ name, declaring that perfect peace will rule in their heart and mind. Lord, replace fear with faith, turmoil with trust, and weariness with Your supernatural rest. May they experience the fullness of Your presence, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We also encourage you to draw near to God through His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Meditate on Scriptures that speak of God’s faithfulness, such as Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Let these truths anchor your soul in the midst of life’s storms.

If stress and anxiety have become overwhelming, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from fellow believers. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and sometimes the Lord uses His people to bring comfort and encouragement.

Lord, we thank You that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May [this dear one] feel Your arms of love surrounding them, Your peace flooding their soul, and Your strength sustaining them each day. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or find true healing and salvation. Amen.

We hear you, and we’re standing with you in this. Bringing your body, your stress, and your anxiety to the Father is the most honest and hopeful thing you can do, He knows you completely and cares about every ache, every racing thought, and every wave of exhaustion.

Often when stress and anxiety take up residence in our bodies, they bring real physical symptoms: tightness, pain, a heart that won’t settle, disrupted sleep. It’s not weak to reach for help alongside prayer. If you haven’t already, we’d gently encourage you to see a doctor to rule out any underlying physical causes. God works through medical wisdom as surely as through direct healing, and you are worth that care.

You also don’t have to carry this alone. Sometimes simply telling a trusted friend or a pastor what you’re facing robs the stress of some of its power. We need others to remind us we’re not abandoned, to pray with us in the raw moments, and to sit with us when it feels heavy. What you asked for, healing, relief, deliverance, God often brings through those very people He places around us.

Jesus, we ask for Your healing touch on our friend’s body. Quiet the alarms of stress and anxiety that have overstayed. Bring relief that is real, through rest, through wise help, through the steady presence of Your Spirit. Surround them with people who will listen and pray. In Your strong name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty, unfits you to meet that difficulty. How often the feverish heat of care dries up the spirit, inflames the mind with evil forebodings, and leaves the soul powerless to do anything for Christ or for its own peace. Yet the Master’s healing power is conspicuously present when He is teaching, when His Word is set before you, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Look away from the stress that breaks the heart, and look to Him who binds up the broken in heart.

The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. Not only His fruit, but His very leaves carry virtue to restore. If you value the minister that broke your heart, value more the Saviour who heals it. The act of pardon and the touch of renewal are often apart from all means: God only does it. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. He knew what truly ailed the man, and He removed the root of his disease by forgiving his sin. Thus there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation.

We that are in this body do groan, being burdened, and groan we shall till the day of our full redemption. The body is dead because of sin, though the spirit is life because of righteousness. Yet you yourself are better than your body. The regeneration of the outward frame takes place at the Resurrection, but even now the Sun of Righteousness rises upon you with healing in His wings. There is healing for you in the contact established by His Incarnation, He took her by the hand and lifted her up. That glorified humanity in heaven sends down healing streams to men below.

Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. The work of Jesus is not so much to point out disease as to apply the remedy. He is able to heal, and there are seasons when His power to save is more than usually manifest. Today, if you hear His voice, harden not your heart. Ask to be forgiven, and healing will come from the pardoning hand. God bless you!

You cry out for healing of the body and for deliverance from anxiety and stress. This is a natural and human plea, and our merciful God does not despise a broken spirit. Yet consider: bodily exercise profits little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. The body is weak and its beauty fleeting; anxiety disfigures the soul far more than any disease mars the flesh. Why then do you tremble at every wind of circumstance, when you cannot even explain the path of the wind that blows where it wishes? So too the Spirit works beyond our understanding; entrust yourself to His operation and cease your over-anxious care.

If you seek true healing, seek first the mercy that reaches the soul. For even the great Apostle Paul, when a door was opened for the gospel, had no relief for his spirit because he found not Titus his brother. Anxiety for the beloved is part of our infirmity, but it must not rule us. Instead, buffet your body and bring it into subjection, not by mere fasting that some mistake for bodily exercise, but by the spiritual discipline that crucifies fleshly fears. The man who eats in ignorance may be rid of anxiety, for it is not the external thing but the intention that defiles. So set your mind on things above, where no despondency disfigures, no age brings wrinkle, and no stress withers the inward beauty that God esteems.

I shudder when I hear the saying that refreshes the good but convicts the careless, for who can stand without sackcloth and prolonged fasting before the fire that is never quenched? Yet this very fear, rightly directed, drives us not to anxious despair but to the mercy that our High Priest can have, being compassed with infirmity Himself. He offers for our ignorances and waywardness. Therefore, instead of pleading only for bodily relief, plead for a heart free from the thorns of worldly care, fertile soil that receives the word with fortitude and brings forth fruit. This is the way and the rock: to hear the word continually, to hold fast in trial, to despise riches and all things that choke the seed. Only then will your anxiety be transformed into a peace that surpasses understanding, a spiritual calm no tempest can shake.

Pray then for healing, but let it be the healing of the whole man, body and soul, through the mercy that is new every morning. And may that mercy grant you not merely a respite from stress, but the relief of spirit that comes when Christ is formed in you, the hope of glory.
