Healing, stress, anxiety

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, I ask for healing over my body, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety in Jesus name Amen

We come before the throne of grace with your heartfelt cry for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. We join with you in lifting these burdens to our Heavenly Father, who hears the prayers of His children and is faithful to answer according to His perfect will.

First, we want to acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We are so grateful that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for He is our Great Physician, our Prince of Peace, and our Mighty Deliverer.

We rebuke the spirit of infirmity, stress, and anxiety in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word of God tells us that Jesus took our infirmities and bore our diseases (Matthew 8:17). Therefore, we declare healing over your body, mind, and spirit. We stand on the promise that by His wounds, you are healed (1 Peter 2:24).

For your stress and anxiety, we remind you that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that you would cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also encourage you to meditate on God’s Word and to speak life over your situation. Proverbs 18:21 tells us that the tongue has the power of life and death. Speak healing, peace, and deliverance over your life, for the Word of God does not return void (Isaiah 55:11).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your love, mercy, and grace that are new every morning. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon their body. Lord, You are the God who heals us (Exodus 15:26), and we trust in Your promise to restore health and strength.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of stress and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm and steal the peace that You have given. We declare that Your peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care deeply for them.

Lord, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them power, love, and a sound mind. Remind them of Your presence, for You have said that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Surround them with Your angels and let Your healing virtue flow through every part of their being.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for answering according to Your perfect will. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in worship, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and encourage you in your faith journey. Remember, the battle is not yours, but God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Stand firm in faith, and watch the Lord move mightily on your behalf.

It is deeply wearying to carry that kind of stress and anxiety in your body day after day, we hurt with you over it, and we are grateful you reached out honestly with such a simple, heartfelt prayer. We are asking the Lord to meet you right where the pressure feels heaviest.

When anxiety shows up in such physical ways, it can be a wise and faithful step to see a doctor. Sometimes our bodies are sounding an alarm about something that needs medical attention, and seeking that help is not a failure of faith but a way of cooperating with how God designed us. Letting a professional rule out any physical causes can also remove a layer of worry. As you walk that out, remember that growth toward peace is often more like a slow, steady walk than a sudden event, so be gentle with yourself on the harder days.

Father, thank You for seeing this dear one completely, the tired body, the racing mind, the places inside that feel so pressed down. We ask for real relief: calm that settles deep, wisdom to know what next steps to take, and the steady courage to keep bringing these burdens to You instead of carrying them alone. Please guide any doctors or helpers, and guard their heart from discouragement while they wait for change. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry, fretfulness, care, anxiety and distress. Have you not found out yet, I have, that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty, unfits you to meet that difficulty? In fact, as far as I have ascertained, either by my own experience or by the observation of others, I have never discovered that anxiety has comforted anybody, or that it has brought any grist to the mill, or any meal to the barrel!

There is, then, an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The very leaves are healing, from which I gather that the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before.

Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people when they looked not for them. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said to him, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one! The Lord has begun to heal us and the healing virtue which His Grace has infused into us will work us health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle, or any such thing! His salvation will also perfectly heal our bodies. O you who are now sick unto death, ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for healing of your body, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. This is a good request, but consider this: why does the body suffer? Often the soul is sick first, and the body follows. You toil under anxiety like the Israelites making bricks for Pharaoh, except your taskmaster is the devil, and the scourge is far more bitter because it wounds the soul. You lie awake, your mind spinning with cares that cannot add a single hour to your life. Do you not know that even where you seem to be active, God's providence effects all? If He were to forsake you, no amount of anxiety would accomplish anything. All would pass away like smoke.

But Christ, when He touched Peter's mother-in-law, not only quenched the fever but gave back perfect health at once. He can do the same for you. Yet ask yourself: is it only the body you want healed? What if He heals the flesh but leaves the spirit untended? That would be no cure at all. The eye is the lamp of the body, small, yet more necessary than any member. Christ forms the eye to see God's wisdom in creation. But if the eye of your soul is darkened by worldly cares, your whole being stumbles. You are not merely a body; you are a member of Christ's body, and if you cling to the clay of earth, you sever yourself from that grace.

Hear the word carefully, then, and let it bring compunction. Groan, look up to God, and He will send His Word to free you from bitter slavery. Do not seek only a lightening of your load while remaining in the same mire. Shake off the love of riches, the softness that cannot endure hardship, the carelessness in listening to truth. One part of virtue is not enough, you need fortitude, contempt of worldly things, continual recollection of God's commands. This is the healing that lasts. Even if you remain in some bodily affliction, the soul at peace is far more precious. The fire of eternal punishment is what we must truly fear; anxiety over earthly matters is but a faint shadow of that terror.

I speak not to wound but to heal. How many who sat through countless sermons without fruit later burst forth at a single word? The root grows unseen. So too with you: this very request may be the first blow of compunction that fells the tree of despair. Trust the Physician of souls. Use not your body in uncleanness, nor let the executioner of sin share your bed, and then wonder why peace flees. Repent, and the sword of the Spirit will cut away decay. Then, whether He grants immediate relief or sees fit to test you longer, you will have the only health that matters, a soul firmly planted in Him who formed the eye and guides the body. May you become worthy of His everlasting blessings.

I join you in asking the Father for healing over your body, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety, in Jesus’ name. It is right to bring these burdens directly to Him, because He cares for you completely.

Think about how Jesus healed people when He walked among us. At times He simply spoke a word; other times He touched a hand or placed mud on blind eyes. With one, healing came instantly; with another, it unfolded gradually until sight was restored. There was no rigid pattern. All of it was divine, because all healing flows from God, whether it arrives in a sudden moment or through the quiet processes He set within our bodies. So do not be discouraged if relief does not look the way you imagined. A mind slowly untangled from anxiety, a nervous system learning rest again, a body regaining strength day by day, these are no less His work than a dramatic miracle. He created the processes of restoration, and they honor Him.

Matthew tells us that Jesus’ healing ministry fulfilled the word spoken through Isaiah: “He himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” That reaches beyond forgiveness of sin. When Jesus broke bread and said, “This is my body, broken for you,” He invited us to remember that His suffering touches every part of our brokenness, spiritual, physical, emotional. You can take that promise personally. Stress and anxiety are not outside His concern. As you pray, you are reaching for the hem of His garment. That act of faith, that simple decision to trust Him, becomes a point of contact where His power meets your need. You do not need to work up a frenzy or join a spectacle. You need only to present yourself honestly.

I will not pretend to know why some are healed in the way they long for and others are asked to wrestle longer. Paul pleaded three times about a thorn in his flesh, yet God gave him sufficient grace instead of removing the thorn. That was not punishment nor a failure of faith. So if your healing unfolds slowly, or if you find that grace sustains you through the process, that is not proof of some secret sin or lack of trust. It is the kind mystery of our walk with the Lord.

Right now, speak your “Amen” again. Let that word be the release of your faith into the hands of the One who can heal every sickness and quiet every storm. Whether He calms your body with a word or teaches you to rest while the waves still roll, His peace will guard your heart and mind. I am praying with you.

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. It has been our privilege to lift these burdens to our Heavenly Father on your behalf, trusting in His perfect will and timing.

If you have experienced His healing touch, peace in place of stress, or freedom from anxiety, we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can glorify God together for His faithfulness.

If you are still waiting on the Lord’s answer, we want to continue praying with you. Please post this request again so we can persist in seeking Him on your behalf, believing that He hears and cares deeply for you. May the Lord surround you with His comfort and strength as you press into Him through Jesus Christ.

We pray all these things in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
