We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your need for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. First, we want to acknowledge that you have called upon the name of Jesus in your prayer, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We are grateful that you have recognized this truth, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus’ name.
Father God, we ask You to touch this beloved child of Yours with Your healing hand. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Lord, we claim this promise over their life. Bring restoration to every part of their body that is weary, pained, or broken. Strengthen their immune system, calm their nerves, and renew their strength as they wait upon You, as Isaiah 40:31 promises: "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
We also lift up their struggle with stress and anxiety. In this world, there is much that can weigh heavily on our hearts, but Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Father, we ask that You replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace. Help them to cast every care upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Teach them to meditate on Your Word day and night, so that they may find the peace that comes from trusting in You alone.
Lord, we also recognize that stress and anxiety can sometimes stem from a place of trying to control things that are beyond our ability. Help them to surrender every burden to You, knowing that You are in control. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." May they find rest in Your sovereignty and trust in Your perfect timing.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to torment them. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We command every lie of the enemy that tells them they are alone, overwhelmed, or without hope to be silenced in the name of Jesus. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Father, we also ask that You surround them with godly community, believers who can encourage them, pray with them, and walk alongside them in this season. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." May they find strength in fellowship and accountability with other believers.
Lastly, Lord, we ask that You draw them closer to You through this trial. May they seek Your face more than Your hand, desiring intimacy with You above all else. Psalm 34:18 assures us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." May they experience Your nearness in a tangible way and find comfort in Your presence.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Healer, our Peace, and our Redeemer. Amen.
