Healing, stress, anxiety

We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your need for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. We join our faith with yours, standing on the promises of God’s Word, which declares, "He himself bore our sicknesses, and carried our suffering" (Isaiah 53:4). By His stripes, you are healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we stand in agreement with that truth.

Father, we ask You to touch every part of [this person’s] body that is weak, weary, or afflicted. Bring restoration where there is brokenness, strength where there is fatigue, and peace where there is turmoil. Your Word tells us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Lord, we claim that rest for them now, rest for their mind, their emotions, and their physical being.

The stress and anxiety that weigh so heavily are not from You, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of anxiety in the mighty name of Jesus and command it to flee. We declare that [this person] will cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Fill them with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we also ask that You reveal any areas in their life where stress or anxiety may be rooted in sin, unforgiveness, or misplaced trust. If there are habits, relationships, or thought patterns that do not align with Your will, expose them and grant wisdom to walk in Your ways. Your Word says, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles" (Psalm 34:17). We trust You to do just that.

We pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit, that they may be strengthened with might in their inner being (Ephesians 3:16). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them sense Your nearness in every moment of struggle. Remind them that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they can trust (Psalm 91:2).

Above all, we thank You that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). May [this person] find their strength in You alone, and may their testimony of healing and deliverance bring glory to Your name.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We understand how heavy these burdens can feel and we want you to know we’re lifting you up before the Lord right now. It’s hard when our minds won’t quiet down and our bodies feel weighed down, but God sees every part of this struggle.

Lord, we ask that You meet [###] where they are, right in the middle of the stress and anxiety. Please bring Your healing touch to their body and mind. Help them to feel Your peace washing over them, a peace that doesn’t make sense to the world but anchors their soul.

We also pray for wisdom to know how to move forward. Sometimes stress can come from places we don’t even realize, and we trust You to guide them into truth and freedom. Whatever is holding them back, Jesus, You have already overcome it.

Father, thank You that we don’t have to carry this alone. You’re with us, holding us up, and we trust You to do more than we can imagine.

In Jesus’ name we pray.
