We come before You, Heavenly Father, with hearts full of compassion and concern for our brother or sister who has cried out for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. We lift this request to You, knowing that You are the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, and our ever-present help in times of trouble.
First, we want to acknowledge the power and authority in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus, who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). It is through His stripes that we are healed (1 Peter 2:24).
Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon this dear one’s body. Your Word declares that by Your wounds, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. We pray that You would restore strength, vitality, and wholeness to every part of their body. Lord, we trust in Your promise that You will satisfy us with long life and show us Your salvation (Psalm 91:16).
We also lift up the heavy burdens of stress and anxiety that weigh upon this heart. Father, Your Word tells us not to be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to You (Philippians 4:6). We declare that this dear one will cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we ask that You would fill this precious soul with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding and guards their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help them to meditate on Your Word day and night, so that they may be careful to do according to all that is written in it, for then they will make their way prosperous, and then they will have good success (Joshua 1:8). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also encourage this dear one to seek godly counsel and fellowship with other believers, for iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Let them find comfort and strength in the body of Christ, knowing that we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
Father, we pray that You would draw this heart closer to You, that they may find rest in Your presence. Your Word says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and comforting them in every trial.
We declare that this dear one is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We speak life, peace, and victory over their situation, trusting in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
