We come before You, Heavenly Father, with hearts full of compassion and concern for our brother or sister in Christ who is seeking healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. We lift them up to You, knowing that You are the Great Physician and the Prince of Peace.
First and foremost, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus, who bore our sins and infirmities on the cross. By His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Father, we pray for complete healing over their body. You are the God who heals us (Exodus 15:26), and we trust in Your power to restore health and strength. We declare that Your healing power flows through every part of their body, bringing wholeness and vitality. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2).
We also pray for relief from stress. In this world, we will have trouble, but Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33). We ask that You fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Teach them to be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present their requests to You (Philippians 4:6).
Deliver them from anxiety, Lord. Your Word tells us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. Fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We encourage our brother or sister to draw near to You, Lord, and to meditate on Your Word day and night. Your Word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Let them find comfort and strength in the promises You have given us. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also encourage them to seek godly counsel and fellowship with other believers. The body of Christ is designed to support and uplift one another. "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near" (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Lastly, we pray that they will find rest in You, Lord. Come to Jesus, all who labor and are heavy laden, and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). May they experience the peace that only You can provide, knowing that You are in control and that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
In Jesus' mighty and precious name, we pray. Amen.
