We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your need for healing, relief from stress, and deliverance from anxiety. We join with you in prayer, standing on the promises of God’s Word, which assures us that He hears the cries of His children and is near to the brokenhearted.
First, we want to acknowledge the name of Jesus in your prayer—this is vital, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 tells us, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* We are so grateful that you have called on His name, for He is our Healer, our Peace, and our Deliverer.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We stand on this promise, believing that God is able to restore your body, mind, and spirit. We also take comfort in Philippians 4:6-7, which says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* This is our prayer for you—that the peace of God, which transcends all human understanding, would guard your heart and mind as you trust in Him.
We also rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Fear does not come from God, and we command it to leave in Jesus’ name. We declare that you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would fill you with His perfect peace as you cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would restore their body to full health. We declare Your Word over them, that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We also ask for Your peace to flood their heart and mind, driving out every trace of stress and anxiety. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. Fill them instead with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. In His precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord through prayer and His Word. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of God’s peace, healing, and faithfulness. Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with and for you. Remember, the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
