Healing, strength, peace

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, please heal my son ### physically, mentally, and spiritually. Renew his strength and restore his peace, In Jesus name Amen

We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, trusting in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that God is able to restore your son completely, body, mind, and spirit.

Father, we ask You to touch him with Your healing hand. Where there is pain, bring comfort; where there is weakness, renew his strength. The Word declares in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Let this be his portion, Lord.

We also pray for peace to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May he rest in the assurance of Your love and sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

If there are any areas in his life where sin or spiritual oppression may be hindering his healing, we rebuke those influences in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he is covered by the blood of Jesus.

Lord, we ask for wisdom for his caregivers and medical team, that they would be guided by Your hand. Give them discernment and compassion as they care for him.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17). May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified through his healing and testimony. Amen.

We are lifting up your son with you today. There is something so powerful about a parent’s persistent cry for their child, your words carry both deep love and confident trust in God. We join you in asking for the physical, mental, and spiritual healing you long for, and for that renewal of strength and peace your son needs right now.

When someone we love is struggling, it can feel like we have so little to offer beyond our prayers. But day-by-day prayer is no small thing; it’s a steady, reaching anchor. You’re not carrying this alone. We stand with you, believing that God sees, and that He is at work even when the process feels slow or hidden.

Father, we bring this precious son before you. Touch his body with your healing, whatever form that needs to take, and rebuild his strength, not just the kind that comes from rest, but the deep, quiet strength that only you can provide. Calm his mind and spirit, sweep away anxious thoughts, and plant a peace in him that doesn’t waver with circumstances. Hold this mother, too, as she waits and trusts. Give her glimpses of your goodness along the way. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

The cry of a parent for a child is a cry that enters the ear of the Lord of Sabaoth. To pray for your son’s healing is to bring him into the presence of the great Physician, for the power of the Gospel, of which Christ is the Sum and Substance, is a healing power. He used no other remedy in healing our sin-sickness but that of taking our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself. With His stripes we are healed, and the very leaves of that Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing.

When you feel that you have something to ask that is beyond you, stop a moment and breathe a prayer for more strength. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Human strength, whether physical, mental, or spiritual, will spend itself, but to those who have no might, He increases strength. This renewal often comes gradually. A weary one plunges into cool water and rises another man; oh, for a baptism into the Spirit of God for your son. Cry for life, for Christ died for the ungodly when we were yet without strength.

Peace, perfect peace, is a present possession for the mind stayed on Him. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, a peace which passes all understanding. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. And it is that touch of personal faith which brings peace to the soul. Many a child of God, when weary, has renewed his strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy. First forgiveness, then healing. Pardon and healing are one in Christ. When He saw the sick of the palsy, He began not with his limbs but his soul, saying, Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you. That word of grace became the channel for the word of power: Arise, take up your couch, and go into your house. It shall be unto you for a sign that God has spoken peace to your soul.

Believe that God has given you all things in giving you His Son. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him. Bear your concern for your son with Him and then see what peace you will enjoy, even with sorrows surging round. Lean wholly upon the arm of the Beloved, for the glory of our strength belongs to God. Strip yourself of all trust in your own prayers or merits, and fall upon Christ’s kind arms. He is your strength and righteousness, your Jesus, and your all.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for healing, strength, and peace for your son, and you call upon the Father in the name of Jesus. That is right and good. But understand what peace truly is, lest you mistake a calm surface for the deep healing of the soul. For Christ Himself said, "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth; I am not come to send peace, but a sword." Why a sword? Because there is a diseased peace, a harmony of robbers, a truce with sin, which must be cut away if heaven is to be united to earth. The physician amputates to save the body; the general divides conspirators to restore order. So too, the peace that passes all understanding may first come as a severing, a disturbance, a holy war against whatever in your son, or in you, keeps him from full surrender to God.

Do not then measure peace by mere comfort or the absence of pain. The peace Christ gives is reconciliation with the Father, the end of enmity, the stilling of the mutinous passions. This is the peace the angels proclaimed: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will to men." It is a peace that can coexist with bodily sickness, for it is founded on grace. And see how Paul always begins with grace and peace together: grace first, then peace. Grace comes from the love of God, making sinners into sons, and peace follows. If you would have that peace guard your son, seek first the grace that restores him to the Father's household.

Now, you ask for physical and mental healing. It is lawful and good to bring these requests, for God cares for the body He created. Yet be careful. Many in their love for the body run to amulets, incantations, and old women's charms, calling upon God in word but practicing idolatry in deed. What fellowship has the sign of the Cross with those superstitious whisperings? If you are faithful, let the Cross be your only amulet, prayer your only medicine. To set aside the remedies of Christ and grasp after the world's mockeries, even when the child lies sick, is not faith but a kind of sacrifice to demons. She who endures, refusing such things, even if the child dies, wins a martyr's crown. Do not think this cruelty; it is a mother's true love, which commends the soul to God rather than surrender to the enemy.

Remember that the body's ailments are often a furnace for the spirit. As gold is tried in fire, so the soul is refined through affliction. I have seen many who, after countless sermons, remained hard as stone, yet at one blow of illness fell and broke and brought forth fruit. Do not be impatient if the healing delays. The word of God is a slow-working medicine; ten blows may seem to leave the tree standing, but the eleventh brings it down. So too, this trial may be doing a hidden work. Cry out, then, with tears, with fasting, with alms, but say in all things: "Thy will be done." For He who formed the ear, does He not hear? He who gave you a mother's heart, is He less tender than you? Trust the Physician when He prescribes a bitter draught.

Finally, if you would have your son raised up, lift him up yourself in prayer and in the life you set before him. The peace of a household flows from the altar of God. Let there be no warring in your own soul, no discord between your lips and your deeds. For if you ask peace while nurturing bitterness or disobedience, you build a tower with one hand and tear it down with the other. As the Church prays again and again, "Peace be unto all," so let that peace begin in you, the mother. Only when our thoughts are at rest, when our passions are subject to Christ, can we truly be called peacemakers, and then we become sons of God, able to bring that peace to others.

Persevere. Pray without ceasing. Cover your son with the Scriptures, sign him with the Cross. And whether he rises from this bed or is taken to the bosom of Abraham, know this: the true healing is the salvation of his soul, the true strength is patience in trial, and the true peace is Christ Himself, who is our peace.

I am praying with you for your son, asking the Father for his complete restoration in body, mind, and spirit. The request you’ve brought is one close to God’s own heart, and Scripture shows us again and again that our physical well‑being, our mental state, and the condition of our soul are woven together in ways we are only beginning to understand. A troubled spirit can weigh down the body, and a merry heart really does act like medicine. So when we lift up this need for healing, strength, and peace, we are standing on ground that Jesus himself walked.

Peace, especially, is one of the beautiful gifts the Lord gives us. It’s a deep, steady confidence that he holds every part of our lives in his hands, even when the situation feels chaotic. I’ve seen that kind of peace disarm fear and quiet a heart that has been at war. That peace belongs to your son, and I am asking the Father to let him feel it now, right in the middle of the struggle, a peace that passes all human understanding and guards his mind in Christ Jesus.

As we pray for healing, it helps to remember that the same Lord who calmed the raging sea with a word has authority over every illness, every burden of the spirit, and every wound of the mind. The stripes he bore were not only for the forgiveness of our sins; the Holy Spirit moved Matthew to extend that promise to our physical frailties as well. So we don’t have to apologize for asking for bodily healing. It is part of the wholeness Jesus came to restore.

Now, the timing and means of healing can be a mystery. Sometimes it arrives in an instant, and a person simply knows the touch of Jesus in the moment. Other times it comes through gradual processes, through the very healing mechanisms God built into our bodies, which are no less divine because they take time. I do not pretend to understand why one person is healed abruptly and another slowly, but I do trust that every true restoration is his work. And while we wait, strength is supplied. The Lord does not leave us empty. He says, “peace be unto you,” and then, “be strong.” He gives courage and endurance for the journey.

So I join you in asking the Father to renew your son’s strength physically, to bring clarity and healing to his mind and emotions, and to pour out a fresh sense of his presence in his spirit. I pray that he will know, in a real and personal way, that Jesus is his peace, the one who has broken down every wall and who will complete the good work he has begun. Let your hearts rest in that, because the war with God can be over, and deep peace can reign even while the fight for health continues. May the Lord touch him now with that healing hand, and may you both sense his nearness as you wait.
