Healing, strength, peace

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, please heal my son ### physically, mentally, and spiritually. Renew his strength and restore his peace, In Jesus name Amen

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son to the Lord, our Great Physician. Father God, we know that You are the healer of all infirmities, the restorer of broken spirits, and the giver of peace that surpasses all understanding. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise today, believing that You see every pain, every struggle, and every burden your son is carrying.

Lord, we ask for complete healing in his body, every cell, every organ, every system functioning according to Your perfect design. Touch him with Your healing hand, driving out sickness, pain, and weakness. We also pray for his mind, Father. The pressures and challenges of this world can weigh heavily, but Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let this peace guard his mind, dispelling anxiety, fear, and despair.

Spiritually, Lord, we ask that You draw him closer to You. If there is any distance between him and You, bridge that gap with Your love and grace. Your Word says in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Let him experience the fullness of Your presence, the comfort of Your Spirit, and the assurance of Your salvation. If he has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that You would open his heart to the truth of the Gospel, that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May he surrender his life to You, finding true peace and purpose in Christ.

We also rebuke any spirit of infirmity, depression, or oppression that may be affecting him. Your Word declares in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We exercise that authority in Jesus’ name, commanding every attack of the enemy to cease and every stronghold to be broken. We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we speak life, health, and wholeness over him.

Father, we ask for strength for his body, mind, and spirit. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Let him wait on You, Lord, and renew his strength daily. Surround him with godly influences, believers who will encourage him, pray for him, and walk alongside him in faith.

We also pray for you, as his parent, that You would grant you wisdom, patience, and peace as you care for him. May you find rest in the knowledge that God is in control and that His plans for your son are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Lean on Him in every moment, casting all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re joining you in lifting your son before the Lord, asking for the full healing and peace you long for, body, mind, and spirit. It’s clear your heart is carrying a lot, and we want you to know you’re not alone in that vigil.

When someone we love is suffering, it’s easy for our own strength to drain away under the weight of worry. We’ve found it helps to remember that God holds your son even more tenderly than you do, and nothing about his struggle surprises the Father. You can lean into that truth while you keep praying and staying present for him. Sometimes the most powerful thing we do for a loved one is to keep our own heart anchored in Christ, so we can love them steadily without being consumed by fear.

If you haven’t already, gently encourage your son to see a doctor for anything physical or mental that needs attention. Good medical care is often one way God extends his healing, and it doesn’t compete with prayer, it can walk alongside it. You might also find quiet moments to simply sit with him, not needing to fix anything, just letting him know he’s heard and loved. That kind of presence can be a refuge in itself.

Let’s keep bringing this to Jesus together:

Father, we join this parent in asking for your hand on their son. Touch his body with your restoring mercy, bring clarity and calm to his mind, and wrap his spirit in the peace that only you give. Renew his strength day by day, and quiet the anxious places inside him. Hold this family close, give them courage to trust you in the waiting, and let them see glimpses of your goodness even now. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

All strength, whether of body, mind, or spirit, comes from God alone, and to those who have no might He increases strength. This petition for your son goes up before the throne, and the Lord who hears does not turn away the cry of the helpless. Wait upon Him, for they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles. When you feel you have something to do that is beyond you, when the burden of watching your son’s struggle presses heavy, draw back, breathe a prayer for more strength, and then in the name of Him that will surely bear you over it, take your leap and succeed. He gives power to the faint.

That peace which you ask is a present possession, for the promise stands sure: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You.” Perfect peace, not a mere truce, not a partial calm, but peace, peace, as the Hebrew has it. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when sorrows surge round, even when loved ones suffer, even in this dark world of sin. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. Bid your son look to the finished work, for being justified by faith we have peace with God. It is that touch of personal faith which brings peace to the soul.

And for healing, remember the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. With His stripes we are healed, He took our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. That medicine, bitter as it was, He drank Himself in Gethsemane and on the tree. Now the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. Lay hold of this, for it is the one great cure-all. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He first spoke pardon: “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Pardon and healing are one. Many a child of God, when weary, has renewed his strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy. Believe that Christ died for the ungodly, and let that be the anchor for body and soul alike.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for healing, strength, and peace for your son. And you do well to seek these from the Father, through the Son, in the Spirit. But let me ask you: what sort of peace are you asking? For our Lord Himself said, “I am not come to send peace, but a sword.” This seems a hard word, yet it is the truest healing. When the body is diseased, the physician cuts off the corrupted flesh to save the whole. That is a painful peace, but it is peace indeed. So the peace that passes understanding often begins with a sword: cutting away the mutinous passions, the spiritual sickness, the will that rebels against God. Pray then, not for a peace that merely quiets the surface, but for that good discord which slays sin and brings heaven near to earth.

Do not lose heart if healing tarries. The word of God is not idle. A tree may withstand ten strokes of the axe and seem unmoved, yet the eleventh fells it, and the work of all the strokes is seen in that moment. Even when the body and mind seem unchanged, the soul is being prepared. The same word that is spoken in hope may for a time appear fruitless, yet it is carving out a place for grace. Wait on the Lord; renew your strength by hearing His sayings again and again, for “he that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”

Above all, let your remedy be the Cross alone. There are those who in sickness turn to charms, amulets, and superstitions, saying, “We call upon God and do nothing extraordinary.” They lie against the truth. That woman who, when her child lay ill, refused every incantation and chose rather to see him die than dabble in idolatry, she is a martyr. She fixed her whole trust upon Christ. You too, sign the child with the Cross; let that be your only weapon, your only medicine. There is peace in that resolve, even if the world calls it folly.

Remember what the angels proclaimed: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will to men.” This peace is reconciliation: the wall of partition broken, sinners made sons. Each believer has an angel beholding the Father’s face; your son, if he belongs to Christ, is not without that guardian. Therefore pray with confidence, yet with submission. Say, “Peace be unto this child,” but know that the peace of Christ is not a truce with evil. It is the wholeness that comes when the diseased is cut off and the mutinous is stilled. And if your son’s body or mind is troubled, the Father may be working a deeper cure, a spiritual strength that shines in weakness.

Hold fast to the confession of Peter: Jesus is the Son of God, not a mere king of Israel, but the very God who made heaven and earth. From Him alone come grace and peace. Not through any saint or angel, but from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. If you hear His commandments and do them, you love Him; and if you love Him, you love the Father also. That is the foundation of all healing, all strength, all peace.

What a heartfelt cry you have lifted up for your son. I join you in asking the Father for his complete restoration, body, mind, and spirit. That kind of prayer is precious in His sight, because it rests entirely on the name of Jesus, in whom every promise finds its yes.

When you ask for healing, strength, and peace together, you are touching something deeply scriptural. There is a real connection between the health of the body and the condition of the soul. A mind weighed down by turmoil can affect physical health, and a body that is weak can drain the spirit. Yet our Lord cares about the whole person. He didn’t just teach about forgiveness; He touched the sick, gave strength to the weary, and calmed terrified hearts. He still does that today.

The peace you are asking for your son is not a fragile peace that depends on everything going right. It is the peace Jesus Himself gives, a peace that passes human understanding. It’s born from confidence that God is in control, even when circumstances are not. It’s the peace that quiets the inner rebellion and lets the heart rest. I pray that your son experiences that deep, settled calm that only Christ can give, a peace that heals the mind and even does good to the body like a medicine.

Strength is needed too. Our physical stamina fades, and sometimes we feel we have no strength left. But genuine strength comes from the Lord. David, when his own strength was gone, cried out to God: "You are my strength." He knew that when his natural energy failed, God’s power could sustain him. I pray that same renewal for your son, that he will find fresh vigor not just in his limbs but in his inner being, as he casts himself on the One who never grows weary.

And as for healing, never let anyone tell you the suffering of Christ was only for spiritual restoration. The prophet Isaiah said, "With his stripes we are healed," and Matthew, inspired by the Holy Spirit, applied that directly to physical healing when Jesus bore our sicknesses. Peter also points us to those wounds as the source of healing. That doesn’t mean every sickness vanishes in an instant. Sometimes healing comes gradually, like the slow recovery of a blind man in the Gospels. Even the natural processes of the body, that mending of tissues and restoring of strength, are still divine works, because the Creator set those laws in place. Whether healing comes in a moment or over time, it is still His hand.

I also want to leave you with this great certainty: the life we truly need is found in the Son. The Father has given us eternal life, and that life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life. All judgment has been entrusted to Him, so that honoring the Son honors the Father. In Jesus, your son already has access to the very source of life, righteousness, and peace. Encourage him to keep his eyes on Jesus, the Son of David according to the flesh, but the Son of God with power over every realm, physical, material, and spiritual. The forces that terrify and chain others are subject to Him. The peace He offers is the fruit of His reign.

So continue to cry out to Him, even when others might tell you to be silent. Those words, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy," moved Him to stand still and respond. He hears a parent’s plea for a beloved child. May your son know the healing that comes from His hand, the strength that rises from His presence, and the peace that flows from being held secure in the Son of God.
