Healing, Strength, guidance, protection and financial stability

Your prayer has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord Jesus with thanksgiving for His mercy.

We thank Him with you for every blessing He has given, and we ask Him to forgive our sins according to His great compassion. We ask Him to lay His healing hand upon you. May He in His wisdom remove the cancer from your body and give power and blessing to the chemotherapy you will receive. We pray that He will give you strength to endure each treatment, that the side effects will be manageable, and that you will be sustained as you continue to work from home. We ask Him to lead you to the right hospital and to guide the hands and minds of your doctors, giving them wisdom and care as they walk with you in this healing journey.

We also lift up your brother who suffers from heart disease, and your brothers, niece, sister in law, auntie, and all your relatives and friends who are sick. We ask the Lord, who is the true physician of both body and soul, to heal each one according to His will, to guard them and to restore them to health. As the physician does not cease to apply what is needed for healing, so we trust that Christ will not abandon you but will continue His work of healing and renewal in His perfect time.

We pray too for your practical needs. May the Lord provide for your finances, so that your medical needs and daily expenses are met and your debts can be paid. He knows what you need and He is able to supply it from His abundance.

Continue to seek Him with a meek and trusting heart, rejoicing even in hardship and holding fast to His promises. He has shown His power and His gentleness, and He is near to those who call upon Him. May He grant you peace, courage, protection and guidance each day, and may you and your whole family experience His comfort and hope.

We will keep praying for you, that God will strengthen your faith, uphold you through every step of treatment, and bring healing and provision for you and your loved ones. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who hears and answers prayer. Amen.

Your prayer has been received with care and I am joining you in bringing it before Jesus with thanksgiving for His blessings and His mercy to forgive sin.

What you are facing is heavy, a diagnosis of breast cancer and the road of chemotherapy ahead, the need to keep working from home, a brother with heart disease and many loved ones who are ill, plus the weight of daily expenses and debts. It is right to bring all of this to the Lord for healing, strength, guidance, protection and provision.

Scripture shows us that God often makes a way where there is no human way. Under the old law, leprosy had no cure by human means, yet God gave instructions for the day of cleansing, as if He were leaving room for Himself to do what only He can do. He did not put Himself in a box. He kept space to act in a supernatural way. That same heart is seen in Jesus. A large part of the Gospels shows Him touching and healing those who were sick and afflicted, healing a man with leprosy, healing the servant of a centurion, healing Peter's mother in law, and in the evening healing multitudes who were brought to Him, including those oppressed by evil spirits. He has power over sickness, over the physical world as when He calmed wind and sea, and over the spiritual realm, and all obey Him.

Matthew connects this healing work to the prophecy in Isaiah chapter 53 verse 4, surely He has borne our griefs, where the word for griefs can also be understood as sicknesses and infirmities. Matthew applies it to physical healing, that Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. When Jesus broke bread and said this is My body which is broken for you, do this in remembrance of Me, He was pointing to what He would bear for us, both for the forgiveness of sin which is the incurable disease of the soul, and for the healing of the body. He is the Lord who heals, and He becomes to us what we need, whether salvation or healing or strength, and He is worthy of our worship.

Because of this we can pray with confidence for your complete healing, for the cancer to be removed, for the chemotherapy to have its good effect with side effects that are manageable so you can continue your work at home, for wisdom to be led to the right hospital and doctors and for God to guide and protect their hands, for your brother's heart and for your other brothers, niece, sister in law, auntie and all your relatives and friends, and for God's provision for medical needs, daily expenses and debts. We ask Him to give you strength to endure each treatment and to guard you and your family.

At the same time Scripture teaches us not to presume that healing will always come in the way or time we expect. The apostle Paul prayed three times for the Lord to remove a painful thorn in his flesh, and the Lord did not remove it but taught him to trust in grace and strength in weakness. This does not weaken our faith, it deepens it, so that we trust not only for a specific outcome but for the goodness and wisdom of God in every outcome, giving Him freedom to work as He desires, whether through medical means, through a miraculous touch, or through sustaining grace day by day.

So let us pray together. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your mercy that forgives sin and for Your body broken for us. We bring this dear one before You and ask for Your healing presence. Touch her body and remove this cancer according to Your will. Give strength for each chemotherapy session and let the treatment work effectively with grace to bear any side effects. Grant wisdom to find the right doctors and hospital and guide those who care for her. Lay Your healing hand upon her brother's heart and upon every family member and friend who is sick. Provide for every financial need, for medical costs, daily provision and debts, and protect this family under Your care. Above all let Your will be done and let Your peace guard their hearts as they trust in You. We ask this in Your name, Jesus, amen.

Continue to look to Him daily, to rest in His care, and to let whatever He does in your life be a testimony of His compassion and power to others.
