Healing, strenghtg, guidance, protection and financial stability

We join you in bringing all of these burdens before the Lord Jesus with thanksgiving for His mercies and trust in His power to forgive, to heal, and to provide.

We pray with you that He would have mercy and grant complete healing according to His will. We ask Him to touch your body and remove the cancer, to make the chemotherapy effective, and to give you strength to endure each treatment. We ask that He would lessen the side effects so that you may continue to work as you are able, and that He would lead you to the right hospital and to wise and compassionate doctors. We pray that He would guide and protect the hands and minds of all who care for you.

We also lift up your brother who suffers from heart disease, and your brothers, niece, sister in law, auntie, and all your relatives, family and friends who are sick. We ask the Lord to heal them, to guard them, and to guide each one in His care.

We pray too for your financial needs. May the Lord provide for your medical needs and daily expenses, open doors for provision, and give you wisdom to manage debts and resources. We ask Him to protect you and your household and to lead you step by step in this difficult season.

Above all we thank Jesus that through His death and resurrection alone we have forgiveness of sins and peace with God when we turn to Him in repentance and faith. May He draw you and your whole family closer to Himself, strengthen your faith, and fill you with His peace that passes understanding as you trust Him day by day.

We will continue to pray that you will know His presence, His comfort, and His sustaining grace through every treatment and every need. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

Thank you for opening your heart and sharing so honestly about what you and your family are walking through. Your thankfulness to the Lord even in this hard season, and your desire for forgiveness, healing, strength and provision, is precious to God.

The Scriptures show us that God has always left room for Himself to work beyond what human ability can do. Under the old law, leprosy was incurable by any human means, and it still has no simple human cure, yet God Himself made a law for the leper in the day of his cleansing. He made a way for the priest to examine a man who had been healed and to declare him clean. In other words, God made provision within the law for a supernatural work that only He could do. He did not put Himself in a box. He kept the door open for His grace to operate apart from any human instrument. That same God is with you now in your battle with cancer.

A very large part of the Gospels is given to the healing works of Jesus because He cares about the suffering of the body as well as the soul. On His way He healed a man with leprosy who worshipped Him, and that word for worship is one used only for God. He healed the servant of a centurion with a word from a distance, He healed Peter's mother in law with a touch, and in the evening multitudes came bringing the sick and those oppressed by evil spirits and He healed them. He showed power in the physical realm and power in the spiritual realm, with authority over sickness and over evil.

Matthew connects all of this to the prophecy of Isaiah chapter 53 verse 4, Surely He has borne our griefs, where the word for griefs can be translated infirmities, and Matthew says this was fulfilled when Jesus healed the sick. Isaiah spoke of the suffering of the Messiah for our sin, and Matthew under the inspiration of the Spirit broadens it to include physical healing as well. When Jesus took bread and said this is My body which is broken for you, do this in remembrance of Me, He was pointing to that same truth, that His body was broken to bear both our sin and our infirmities. We should not narrow what God meant to be broad.

That is why we can come to Him as Yahweh Rapha, the Lord who heals. He becomes to us whatever our need requires. If we need salvation He becomes Jesus, our Savior. If we need healing, strength, guidance and protection, He meets us in those needs. He is able to touch your body, to remove cancer, to give strength to endure chemotherapy, to lessen side effects so you can continue working, and to lead you to the right hospital and doctors and give them wisdom and skill. He is able to touch your brother with heart disease and your brothers, niece, sister in law, auntie and all your relatives and friends who are sick. Nothing is too hard for Him.

At the same time Scripture teaches us to pray with trust in His perfect will. The apostle Paul prayed three times for the Lord to remove a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan that buffeted him, and the Lord did not remove it but gave grace to endure it. To assume that God must heal in every case in the way we ask is not biblical. We pray with confidence in His power to heal, and with submission to His wisdom and love, knowing that whether He heals instantly, through treatment, or by His sustaining grace, His judgment and mercy will prevail and He will do what is best.

So we bring all of your requests to Him together, asking for forgiveness through the blood of Jesus, for complete healing according to His will, for strength for each treatment, for guidance and protection for you and your family and for the doctors who care for you, and for financial provision for medical needs, daily expenses and debts. He sees every burden.

Let us pray. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your blessings and for Your mercy that forgives our sins when we turn to You. You bore our sins and our infirmities on the cross. We ask in Your name that You would touch this dear one who is facing breast cancer. Lay Your healing hand upon her, remove the cancer from her body, and let the chemotherapy work for good with side effects that are manageable, so she may have strength to endure and to continue working as she needs. Lead her to the right hospital and doctors, guide and protect their hands and minds. Touch her brother and heal his heart, and touch every brother, niece, sister in law, auntie, relative and friend who is sick, and bring healing and protection to each one. Provide for their financial needs, for medical care, for daily bread and for debts, and show Yourself as their provider and protector. Give peace, strength and guidance for the whole journey. We trust Your power and Your will, and we worship You as Lord. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you before the Lord for healing strength guidance protection and financial stability.

We have prayed especially for your complete healing from breast cancer that the Lord would remove the cancer from your body and cause your chemotherapy to have good effect. We have asked Him to give you strength to endure all the treatments and to keep the side effects from being too severe so that you can continue working and to lead you to the right hospital and doctors and to guide and protect them as they care for you. We have also prayed for your brother for healing from his heart disease and for your brothers niece sister in law auntie and all your relatives family and friends that the Lord would remove all sickness and grant healing guidance and protection. We have also brought your financial needs before Him for your medical needs daily expenses and debts trusting His promise in Phil 4:19 and His healing promise in Jer 30:17.
