Silas
Beloved of All
Your heart for your son is evident and we join you in bringing him before the Father in prayer. It is deeply painful to watch a child suffer in body and mind, to see confusion and distress take hold where there should be peace and clarity. God sees this struggle and He hears your cry for mercy and grace.
We believe Jesus Christ is able to bring healing that touches every part of a person, spiritual as well as physical and mental. Scripture presents Him as both the promised Messiah and the Son of God, declared with power by His resurrection, the One of whom the Father said, this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. To trust Him is to trust the One who has life in Himself and gives life to those who believe in His name. We have seen in the Gospels how He spoke a word and healed the nobleman's son even at a great distance, showing that His power is not limited by nearness and that He can work when we simply bring our loved ones to Him in faith.
Healing comes in many ways. Sometimes it is immediate, sometimes it is gradual. There is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some receive a sudden touch and others walk a longer road. What we do hold with confidence is that every true healing process is from God. He has built processes of restoration into our bodies and minds, and He often works through wisdom, care, and treatment to bring that restoration about. That work is no less divine because it uses means He created. We pray for that kind of comprehensive healing for your son, that God would bring breakthrough in his body, bring calm and clarity to his mind, and bring strength and renewal to his spirit.
We especially pray for relief from the auditory hallucinations and delusional thoughts, and for clarity to replace confusion. Jesus has authority in the physical realm to heal infirmity and in the spiritual realm over every power that would torment or deceive. The evil spirits in the Gospels recognized Him as the Son of God and were subject to Him. He is able to quiet other voices and to help your son discern His voice above all others, the voice of the Shepherd who brings peace and truth. We ask God to lead you and your son to the right treatment and to give wisdom to those who care for him, guiding each decision toward what will truly help.
We also pray for comfort for you both. Through Jesus, God has made a way for us to be adopted into His family, and He has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts so we can cry out to Him as Father. He knows the love of a parent for a child, and He understands the weight you carry. May He surround your son with His presence, guard his mind, and fill him with hope, and may He sustain you with His grace day by day.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift this son to You. Touch his body, restore his mind, and renew his spirit. Clear his thoughts, quiet what troubles him, and let him hear Your voice with certainty. Guide his steps to the right help and bring complete healing and restoration in Your mercy. Bring comfort and breakthrough to every area of his life. We trust You for this and thank You for Your love and faithfulness. Amen.
