Healing request

You ask for healing from diabetes, high blood pressure, HIV, and spiritual poisoning, calling on the mighty name of Jesus. But I urge you: do not think that merely crying out for bodily relief will bring you what you seek while your soul remains unhealed. For it is written that even if one has the gift of healing and a perfect life, yet lacks love, it profits nothing. So first examine carefully the condition of your heart.

The sickness of the body is not unto death; we see Lazarus died and yet the Lord raised him, and his sisters were not offended that the event seemed contrary to His word. So if your healing delays, do not lose faith or think the Lord speaks falsely. He often permits these afflictions that we might be roused to a careful hearing of His voice. Many hear the word ten times and remain insensible, then at one hearing are suddenly converted. Therefore do not cease from coming to the Bridegroom’s voice with a standing and rejoicing heart, for faith comes by hearing, and by hearing the Church is wedded to Christ.

You speak of spiritual poisoning. This is the true pestilence, a deeper deliverance required than any bodily cure. Are you standing fast in the freedom Christ purchased with His blood? He set you free from the curse of the Law and gave you the Spirit of adoption. Do not run back to the yoke of sin, thinking that a word of power will release you while you neglect to cultivate fortitude, contempt of worldly things, and continual recollection of His teaching. It is not enough to be freed from one sickness; you must cultivate other parts of virtue.

So I send this answer with all diligence, without delay, that you might be freed from heaviness. Be earnest to hear what He intends for you, not only what you desire. If you will receive the careful hearing of the word and let it cleanse the inward poison, then you may find the Bridegroom’s voice brings you the joy of health both seen and unseen. Do not seek the healing of the body as an end alone, but rather the restoration of your soul, that love may reign in you. Then, whether the Lord grants immediate relief or tarries, you will stand and rejoice.

I hear the distress in your request, and I want to speak honestly with you from God’s word. You are carrying a weight of physical suffering, a recent diagnosis of ###, ###, and the burden of ###, compounded by a sense of spiritual poisoning. It is right to cry out to Jesus for healing and deliverance, for He is the Great Physician who healed the sick and cast out demons during His earthly ministry, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Yet we must also let Scripture shape our expectations. God heals, but He does not promise to heal every disease in this life. Paul, who had a tremendous healing ministry and through whom miracles were worked, wrote of a close fellow worker who almost died from sickness. No blame was placed on that brother; it was not due to a lack of faith or some hidden sin. Healing is a sovereign work of God. His ways are past our tracing out, and it is cruel to heap guilt upon yourself by thinking, “If I only had enough faith, I would be made well.” I thoroughly reject any teaching that insists God wills the healing of every person in every instance. That is a pat answer that does not come from the heart of the God who says, “My ways are not your ways.”

This does not mean you should resign yourself to hopelessness. Pray earnestly. Ask the elders of the church to anoint you with oil and pray the prayer of faith. Trust that God can heal. But simultaneously, settle it in your heart: if He does not grant physical healing in this season, His grace will be sufficient to carry you through. Endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. This is a battle, and it is easy to become entangled with the anxieties of this life, but your ultimate hope is not tied to the functioning of your pancreas or the numbers on a blood pressure cuff. Your body, like all our bodies, groans for redemption, and the final healing will come in the resurrection when the tree of life yields its leaves for the healing of the nations.

Regarding the spiritual poisoning you mentioned, the imagery is apt. Scripture compares evil influence to leaven that works its way through a lump of dough. If there are patterns of sin, false teaching, or demonic oppression at work, they can permeate the soul and bring a crushing sense of defilement. But the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses us from all unrighteousness. The Amalekites in the Old Testament are a type of the fleshly life that wages war against the Spirit. That flesh life with its disordered appetites often fights against the new creation you are in Christ. Your cry for deliverance from spiritual poisoning is a holy one. Bring every dark corner into the light through confession and renunciation. Renounce any involvement with things that have no place in a believer’s life, whether they be occult practices, bitterness, or unholy agreements. Do not underestimate the power of the blood that was shed once for all. The one who denied Christ out of fear found forgiveness, even as the spear pierced the side of the Lord and the flow of blood and water put out the literal fire of that dying thief’s last rebellion, how much more can that fountain cleanse you?

Walk in the freedom of the gospel. The gospel brings freedom of choice and deliverance from slavery, but as the gospel wanes in a life, different slaveries creep back in. I urge you to surround yourself with the truth, to feast on Scripture, and to let the Spirit search your heart. Even so, remember that physical illness is not necessarily evidence of sin. The man born blind was not that way because of anyone’s sin, but that the works of God might be displayed. Your healing, should it come, will be for God’s glory. Your endurance through the illness, should healing tarry, will also be for His glory as you display a hope that is not tied to this temporary body.

I am praying with you now: Father, in Jesus’ mighty name, we ask for the healing of this dear one, body, soul, and spirit. We command every force of darkness that has claimed a foothold through spiritual poisoning to bow to the authority of Christ. We ask for restored pancreas function, normalized blood pressure, and the eradication of the virus from this body. But more than that, we ask for an overwhelming sense of Your presence and peace, a knowing that You have not abandoned Your child, and that whether in life or in death, we belong to You. The substance is Christ, not the shadow of physical relief alone. May this person walk in the light of Your countenance, delivered from all leaven of evil, nourished by Your Spirit, and made whole in the way only You can ordain. Amen.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in prayer with you for your healing and deliverance. It has been on our hearts to continue lifting you before the Lord, asking Him to touch your body with His healing power and to cleanse you from every spiritual affliction. We believe in the authority of Jesus’ name to break every chain, restore health, and bring wholeness to your spirit, soul, and body.

If the Lord has already moved in your situation—whether through physical healing, peace in your spirit, or a breakthrough in your circumstances—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can all give thanks together. If you are still waiting for God’s answer, know that we are not finished praying. We encourage you to post this request again so we can continue to intercede on your behalf, trusting that our faithful God hears and responds in His perfect timing.

May the Lord strengthen your faith as you seek Him, and may His peace guard your heart as you wait on Him. We pray for complete healing—body, mind, and spirit—according to His will and in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
