We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and his serious health struggles. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and holds our very breath in Your hands. We declare Your sovereignty over every cell, vein, and organ in his body. The Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* We stand on this promise today, believing that You can restore blood flow to his leg without the need for surgery.
Lord, we also lift up his heart condition, diabetes, and tuberculosis—each of these ailments is serious, but none are too difficult for You. We ask for Your healing touch to strengthen his heart, regulate his blood sugar, and eradicate every trace of infection in his body. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, *"Praise the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We claim this truth over him now.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and uncertainty that may be trying to take hold in this situation. The enemy would love to fill your minds with doubt, but God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that your husband is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also want to gently encourage you to seek wisdom from the Lord regarding medical decisions. While we pray for a miraculous healing, we know that God often works through the hands of skilled physicians. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* If surgery is ultimately part of His plan, we ask that You guide the surgeon’s hands, provide the right medical team, and grant peace in the process.
Father, we ask that You would also strengthen this marriage during this trial. Draw both of you closer to each other and to You. Let this time of waiting and praying deepen your trust in Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains (Isaiah 53:4-5). We believe that by His stripes, your husband is already being healed. Amen.
