Healing, protection
We join with you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have confidence to approach the Father.
We are encouraged by your faith to ask for healing and protection for him in every area of his life, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our God is our healer and our refuge, and His heart is moved with compassion for His children. We are reminded that He is the Lord who heals us, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3, and that He has promised, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to His promise of protection, for He says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10, and For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, Psalm 91:11.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved son to You. We ask You to touch him with Your healing hand, to restore his body where there is sickness or weakness, to renew his mind where there is anxiety, fear, or distress, and to revive his spirit and draw him ever closer to You. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over him, to guard him from all harm and danger, both seen and unseen, to surround him with Your holy angels and to cover him under the shadow of Your wings where he may find refuge, Psalm 91:1. Let Your presence go with him wherever he goes and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and his thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. Strengthen his faith, comfort him in Your love, and let him know deeply that he is held securely in Your hands. We thank You, Father, for all You have done and all You will do, for Your steadfast love and mercy that never fail. We trust him fully to Your care and we pray this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to speak life and scripture over him daily and to trust the Lord with a steadfast heart, for the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:15. Keep resting in the assurance that God hears your prayers and that He who watches over you never slumbers nor sleeps.

Your earnest prayer for your son has been heard with tender sympathy, and we join our hearts with yours at the throne of grace on his behalf.
The Lord is a very present help in trouble, and He has shown Himself to be the healer of His people. We very speedily care for bodily diseases and run to the physician, but how precious to know that we have a heavenly Physician whose very name is healing. It is written, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, for there our blessed Lord took our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself and bore our sins in His own body on the tree. That bitter cup He drained Himself, that we might find medicine for soul and body alike.
There is a tree whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and its virtue has not lost its power. That medicine is appointed for the very purpose of healing, and it grows for the sick. If you are thirsty you need not ask whether you may drink at the fountain placed for the thirsty, you may drink freely. So come to Christ with your son's need, for He still says as of old, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and with pardon He brings healing. Forgiveness and healing are placed in happy conjunction, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon a soul with healing in His wings, there is no need to say, I am sick.
We love to remember how the father of the prodigal did not wait nor withhold his love. While the son was yet a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him much. So is the heart of our heavenly Father toward those for whom we pray. There is no anger in His heart toward the returning sinner, but only compassion, and He has a love token for every time of doubt and dismay.
Therefore we bring your son before the Lord, asking that the Great Physician would lay His hand upon him for healing in body, for quietness and soundness in mind, and above all for the healing of his soul through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, for that is the first and chiefest healing. We ask that the Lord would keep him from harm and danger, both seen and unseen, and surround him with His presence and grant him that peace which passeth all understanding to guard heart and mind.
May you be encouraged to cast this burden fully upon Christ and to continue in believing prayer, knowing that He who spared not His own Son will with Him also freely give us all things. We will continue to pray that the Lord will manifest His goodness to your son and to your household, and that you will have cause to praise Him for His wonderful works to the children of men.
