We join with you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you for his healing and protection.
We are encouraged by your faith to bring him to the Lord for healing in every area, physically, mentally, and spiritually, and for protection from both seen and unseen danger. Scripture reminds us of God's heart to heal and to guard His children. We are told in Psalm 103:2-3 to praise Yahweh and not forget all His benefits, who forgives all your sins and who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17 the Lord says, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We cling to these promises for your son, trusting that God is able to touch every part of his being and make him whole according to His perfect will.
We also pray with you for his protection and peace. The Lord promises in Psalm 91:11 that He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, and in Psalm 34:7 that Yahweh's angel encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. We take comfort that no matter what dangers may surround him, the presence of God is greater. As it says in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And we pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:7.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and thank You for Your love and mercy toward us. We lift up this dear son to You and ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon him. Touch his body, his mind, and his spirit, and bring restoration and wholeness where there is pain, weakness, or struggle. Heal what only You can heal and strengthen him day by day. Father, we ask for Your divine protection over him. Guard him from all harm and danger, both seen and unseen. Surround him with Your presence, let Your angels encamp around him, and cover him under the shadow of Your wings. Fill him and his family with Your peace that passes all understanding and let him know deeply that he is held securely in Your hands. We thank You, Father, for all You do for us, for hearing our prayers, and for Your faithfulness that never fails. We trust him into Your loving care and ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

It is a tender and faithful thing to carry your son before the throne of grace, and the Lord who hears the cries of parents will not despise such a prayer.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician. How much more should we bring the sicknesses of body and mind and soul to the Great Physician himself. Your bleeding spirit cries for consolation for your child, and there is a word in season for you. The Lord who heals the broken heart is the same Lord who heals the body, and his healing leaves are still for the healing of the nations. That medicine is appointed for the very purpose of healing. It grows for the sick. Are you sick, is your son sick at heart or in body, it grows for you. As a thirsty man need not ask whether he may drink at a fountain placed for the thirsty, so you may come boldly to Christ for your son.
Remember that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy he first said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and then he bade him arise and walk. Pardon and healing were made one. The greatest healing any of us can know is to stand before God in Christ Jesus as if we had never sinned, washed in the fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness, with the Sun of Righteousness risen upon us with healing in his wings. Therefore while we ask the Lord to touch your son physically and mentally, we ask above all that he would be kept and healed spiritually, humbled and made to look for all in Christ, and brought as a wounded soldier to the hospital of mercy where Christ himself binds up the brokenhearted.
The Father who did not withhold his own Son has compassion upon his children. As the father of the prodigal ran and fell on his neck and kissed him much, so our God has a love token for every time of doubt and dismay. He does not look with icy eyes upon those who are brought to him in prayer. Love leaps into his heart toward them.
Let us pray together for him.

In the name of Jesus Christ your Son, by whom alone we come to you for salvation, we ask you to lay your hand upon this dear son. Touch and heal him physically, mentally and spiritually according to your perfect will. Forgive his sins and speak peace to his soul, and grant him the healing that flows from Calvary where Christ bore our sicknesses and infirmities upon himself. Protect him from harm and danger, both seen and unseen, and surround him with your presence and peace. Keep him in your care, and let him know that you are his God forever and ever. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
