We join you in lifting your son before our heavenly Father, asking for His healing and protecting hand upon him.

We pray that the Lord, who is the true Son of God and who became Son of David so that we who were slaves might become sons of God, will touch your son in body, mind, and spirit. Christ does not heal as one who merely asks another, but as One who is able Himself to do this, and we ask Him to show that power and mercy now. May He restore health where there is sickness, bring clarity and peace where there is distress of mind, and bring spiritual strength and life where it is most needed.

We ask the Father to guard him from all harm and danger, both seen and unseen, and to surround him with His presence. As the true physician, Christ alone is our remedy and our weapon, and we trust not in any other hope but in Him and the sign of His cross. May your son know that he is kept in the hands of the Lord who loves us with great lovingkindness and who gives us time and grace to be healed and restored.

We also pray that your son will hear the words of Christ and keep them, for to hear and obey Him is the proof of love for the Son and for the Father, and that hearing brings life. Even as a physician continues his treatment with patience, so we will continue in prayer, trusting that God hears and that our persistent asking, in faith, is part of His healing work.

We thank the Father with you for all He has done and all He will do, and we ask all these things with confidence in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and our peace. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart for your son. We join you in bringing him before our Heavenly Father and asking for the touch of Jesus upon his whole being.

We believe with you that Jesus is able to heal both spiritually and physically. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the suffering of the Messiah bearing our sicknesses, and Matthew by the Holy Spirit applies that prophecy to the physical healings Jesus did when people were brought to Him. When Jesus broke bread He said this is my body broken for you, and we remember that His work on the cross reaches to the forgiveness of sins and also to the healing of the body. When He healed the man who could not walk, He first said your sins are forgiven and then told him to rise and walk, to show He has power on earth both to forgive and to make whole.

Scripture also shows there is a real connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body. The apostle John wrote a beautiful wish for his friend that he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers. That is not presented as a formula to claim, but it reflects a true principle. Proverbs says a merry heart does good like medicine, and we now know how much the attitude of the heart and mind affects the body. God cares for the whole person, physical, mental, and spiritual, and we can ask Him to bring strength and wholeness in each area and to bring peace to the mind and heart that helps the body toward health.

There is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some are healed instantly and others gradually. The Gospels record one healing that came in stages, and that reminds us there are many ways God heals. Every healing process is from Him. The natural processes of recovery He placed in our bodies are divine because He created them. Whether His touch comes in a moment or through a gradual work, we trust His wisdom and love and continue to look to Him.

We also pray with you for protection, for harm and danger both seen and unseen. Jesus as the Son of God has authority in the physical realm over sickness and infirmity, and He has authority in the spiritual realm over evil powers. The Father demonstrated His love by giving His only Son for us, so that through Him we might be adopted as sons and daughters and receive the Spirit of His Son in our hearts crying Abba, Father. Because of that relationship we can come with confidence and ask the Father to surround your son with His presence, to guard him, and to give him peace that steadies his heart and mind.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this son to You. Touch him physically, mentally, and spiritually. Bring healing where there is sickness or weakness, bring wholeness to his mind and calm to his spirit, and draw him close to Yourself. Protect him from harm and danger, seen and unseen, and surround him with Your presence and peace. We ask that Your will be done in his life and that he would know Your love and care each day. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for allowing us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your son. We are glad that you asked us to join with you in lifting him up to our Heavenly Father for healing and protection.

We have continued to bring your son before the Lord, asking Him to touch and heal him completely physically, mentally and spiritually, and to protect him from all harm and danger both seen and unseen. We have prayed that the Lord would surround him with His presence and cover him with His peace that passes all understanding according to Philippians 4:7. We claim His promises over your son that He will command His angels concerning him to guard him in all his ways as in Psalm 91:11 and that by His wounds we are healed as in Isaiah 53:5, trusting that God is our healer and our refuge.
