Healing, protection
We join you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for bringing this heartfelt request to us in the name of Jesus, for it is through His name we have access to the Father and it is by His stripes we are healed.
We are encouraged by your faith as you ask for his healing physically, mentally, and spiritually and for his protection from all harm seen and unseen. Our God is indeed our healer and our refuge. We are reminded that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and that He has promised But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. His protection is sure, for He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11 and we know that the angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them Psalm 34:7. In times of anxiety or affliction for the mind and spirit, we cling to the promise that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7 and that we need not fear for He says Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this beloved son to You. Lord, touch him with Your healing hand, we pray for complete healing in his body, renewal in his mind, and restoration in his spirit. Wash him and make him whole according to Your will. Protect him, Father, from all harm and danger, both seen and unseen. Surround him with Your holy presence, let Your peace which passes all understanding rest upon him and guard his heart and mind. Keep him under the shadow of Your wings and let no weapon formed against him prosper. We thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love, for Your mercy that is new every morning, and for all You do for this family. We trust him into Your loving care and we ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

Your prayer for your son has been heard and we join with you in bringing him before the throne of grace. It is a tender thing for a parent's heart to be burdened for a child, and there is no better place to carry that burden than to the Lord who is both Physician and Father.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, but how much more should we bring the sicknesses of mind and spirit to the Great Physician. The word of the Lord tells us that He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and that the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations. That medicine is appointed for the very purpose of healing and it grows for the sick. If you are sick at heart you may freely come and partake. Christ has not merely pointed out the disease but has provided and applied the remedy, for He Himself bore our sicknesses and bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that cursed place where He was made a curse for us.
Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. So we pray not only for the body to be strengthened, but for the mind to be stayed in peace and for the soul to know the forgiveness and life that are in Christ Jesus alone. It is there, in Christ, that the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings.
Let us pray together for him.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your goodness and for Your wonderful works to the children of men. We bring this dear son before You and ask that You would touch and heal him physically, mentally and spiritually according to Your perfect will. Lay Your hand upon him in mercy, guard him from harm and danger both seen and unseen, and surround him with Your presence and peace which passes all understanding. Draw him near to Yourself, give him faith to look to Jesus who bore our sins and carried our sorrows, and let him know that there is a fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness in the blood of Christ. Keep him under the shadow of Your wings and let Your healing virtue flow to him. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus our Lord, Amen.
