Your prayer for your son has ascended to the Father, and it is heard. But consider this: when the blind men came to Christ crying out for mercy, He put to them a question first, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” You call upon Him, and that is good, but you must also bring the faith that He seeks, the faith that confesses Him to be the true Son of God, able to heal both body and soul by His own authority. For He said, “I am able to do this,” not that He would entreat another but that He Himself is the Lord of all.

Let no one among you turn aside to the charms and amulets of this world, even if they promise relief. These things are a mockery and a cheat, and those who use them, no matter what they say, fall into idolatry. You are a believer? Then the cross is your only weapon, your only remedy. Sign your son with the sign of the cross, and say, “This I have for my defense; I know no other.”

If the sickness lingers, do not lose heart. A mother who refuses to put her trust in anything but God, even when her child is struck down, is counted as a martyr. She chooses to sacrifice her son to the will of God rather than offend Him. So too, your steadfast prayer, your lament over your son, is itself a healing treatment. Many who were not moved by advice have been amended by the tears of those who love them.

Therefore, persist in your cries to heaven. Christ, the true physician, enters the house of the sick and makes their affliction a means of salvation. He works not just by words but by every circumstance, even by sharing our table, that He might correct us. Do not cease from this treatment, for even when the body seems beyond hope, the soul may be brought to life. He that has ears to hear, let him hear. Continue to entrust your son to the Lord, and you will see the fruit of your prayer in due season.

Your cry for your son’s healing and protection reaches the heart of the Father. We join with you in asking for his complete well-being, body, mind, and spirit. There is a reality to physical healing that Scripture itself draws from the ministry of Jesus. Matthew points us to the prophet Isaiah, showing that the Messiah bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. So when we pray in Jesus’ name, we stand on solid ground: His work on the cross reaches into every broken part of us, physical and spiritual alike.

At the same time, the apostle John wrote a beautiful wish: that a person may prosper and be in good health even as their soul prospers. While this is not a guarantee that every prayer for healing will look exactly the same, it does reveal a deep connection. Peace in the mind and a rightness in the soul often nourish the body. Proverbs tells us a merry heart does good like medicine, and we now see science confirm that mental and emotional states affect physical well-being. So as you pray, trust that the God who designed these processes is at work. Healing can come in moments or over time, through extraordinary intervention or through the natural resilience He built into our bodies. All of it is divine, because He is the author of life itself.

Hold fast to who Jesus is, He is the Son of God, the only begotten of the Father, the Messiah. He asked the paralyzed man’s friends, and later He asks us, “Do you believe on the Son of God?” That question matters, because all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him. He alone can say, “Son, your sins are forgiven,” and then command a man to rise and walk. When He healed the sick, it was a sign that He is the Son of Man with power to forgive sins and restore lives. So bring your son before this same Jesus. He is the Son whom the Father gave out of love for the world, and He is not distant from a parent’s anguish; the Father knows what it is to see His beloved Son suffer, and He knows your love for your own child.

In the meantime, pray not only for physical relief but for a prospering of your son’s soul, a mind and heart anchored in God’s peace. The protection you ask for, seen and unseen, is real because the Son is Lord over every power. Surround him with Scripture, with worship, and with the confidence that the Father and the Son are one and that you come before the throne in the name of Jesus Christ. His presence will be your son’s true shelter. We do not always understand why healing unfolds differently for different people, but we rest in this: the Father hears, the Son intercedes, and the Spirit brings comfort. Continue to entrust your son into the hands of the one who still says, “Be of good cheer.” We stand with you in faith, asking for wholeness in every dimension, and we give thanks in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the sacred privilege of lifting your precious son before the throne of grace. It has been our joy to stand in agreement with you, praying fervently for his complete healing—body, mind, and spirit—as well as for the Lord’s mighty hedge of protection to surround him day and night. We have asked our Heavenly Father to fill every unseen corner of his life with His peace and presence, shielding him from all harm and danger.

If God in His perfect wisdom and timing has already moved in response to these prayers, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report! Please share how He has worked so that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, you are still waiting to see His hand at work, we encourage you to post this request again so we may continue to intercede on your son’s behalf with renewed fervor. The Lord hears the cries of His children, and we stand ready to pray without ceasing until His will is fully revealed.

May the Father strengthen your heart with hope as you trust in Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your family in Christ Jesus. We pray this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
